I still think Tony should win

In character I could actually see this going to Cap, Tony is going to try not to seriously injure Cap, and that shield can do damage.

That suit is still stronger than Steve, but seeing how Steve was able to lodge his shield into MK2 Ultron's chest and dance around him, I can see him taking this, especially if they're both in character.

Mark V is featless. Can it fly? We don't know. Does it have Rockets? We don't know.

Cap. That armor doesnt have many feats or shown epuipment. With just repulsors and no flight, Steve can beat Tony

If it were a better suit, Iron Man would have a better chance, but if Cap can handle Ultron solo then it shouldn't be a problem for him to take Iron Man down.

Ironman easily. Even mk5 easily handled whiplash who cut a car in half wo/problem.

Iron Man stomps.

Cap takes this one. He has tanked a repulsor blast to the chest and got right back up, he can tear apart Ultron bots and Quinjets with his shield. He doesn't have to deal with Stark having superior mobility due to flight.

Odds are we'll see Cap take a superior suit to task in Civil War and I'll revisit this thread to point and laugh at all the "Stark stomps" people.

Cap can handle Tony if he fights like he did against Ultron

Tony. Cap faced heavy fire power in TWS when that guy with the gatling gun was shooting at him. Tony has similar firepower, but he can aim better than a storm trooper, so he shoots him in the leg.

@risingbean: tony gave cap a very weak repulsor shot there because he didn't want to hurt him and you guys are forgetting that tony also fought ultron but he actually won. Even in this suit cap can't hurt him whiplash who was slicing cars in two couldn't hurt him, and tony can take out cap in a couple of shots.

Cap held his own against ultron who def had a better suit than the iron man suitcase armor. He has tanked repulsor blasts before and alien weapons that blew up cars. His damage soak is very impressive. He can throw his shield hard enough to pierce tonys armor and he showed very little mobility in that suit. I see cap taking this quite easily. Cap hasn't been knocked out as I recall except temporarily after getting hit by a grenade launcher. He flew like 50 yards after hitting a cement block and he went threw a bus and was unscathed. Quicksilver coudnt even knock him out at superspeed and he was ripping through metal ultron bots. Cap has great durability. If it was tony in his normal suit with all his firepower and he fought smart as in keeping a distance and using his targeting systems than I could see tony winning. Id say cap takes this 9/10

Cap has better durability then Whiplash and better avoidance thanks to his shield and agility. He also has roughly comparable damage output with the shield. (slicing cars vs blowing up Quinjets) Tony's suit was quite mangled by Whiplash's tendrils.

Lastly morals hurt Tony more then they do Steve. Tony has fewer 'less then lethal' options then Steve does here.

Captain American Should win actually. Go back and watch he was pretty slow. Captain America is too fast for that armor.

repulsor blast to the knee, puts Captain down to his knees crying then he goes forward, toss away Captain's shield and unibeam Steven's face and it melts. Then a truck comes and drives over Iron Man

STALEMATE

Repulser blasts literally have shown to reflect off Cap's shield with no force on him whatsoever. They've bounced blasts off it to kill enemys and Cap wasn't ragdolled.

Therefore, given we've seen the suit do absolutely nothing else...Cap wins.

seeing alot of stupidity here. the armor didnt show it could fly, therefore it can't? even though older, less advanced suits could?

one assumes that pre iron man 3, each armor tony created is built to be better in every way than the last. and those whips > anything cap can do.

so tony simply uses his long range firepower and stays away from steve.

Cap took on ultron and was holding his own. I see him taking this with a little effort. He would dance around Tony and can damage his suit with his shield
