Current Tony Stark (with all his combat experience and training) is forced to don his original armor for this fight.

He is facing off against Jango Fett, who has his Mandalorian armor and all it's standard weaponry. Neither fighter has any prep time or has any knowledge of the opponent they will be facing.
The fight takes place in the middle of Times Square, unpopulated.
Jango Fett has been offered an incredible sum of money to capture/kill Iron Man.
Iron Man believes that Jango Fett is actually the person who killed Captian America.
Jango is in character.
Iron Man is not bloodlusted, but is willing to kill.

His jetpack has a rocket that can be fired from it. Other than that, I don't know of any explosives in his standard gear.

Yes rockets thermal detonators and c4 like substance. I know Bobba has a battle computer similar to Midnighter I do not know if Jango has it

Ok first of all Jango Fett does has explosives. He has got a big f***ing missle on his back that would do more that just screw up Tony Stark's first Iron Man costume. Secondly Iron Man was made to withstand bullets and explosions, not lasers. And last but not least mobility Jango has a jet pack that he can easily fly multiple times and land easy with, Iron Man's first suit was the complete oposite of this except the fact that it could fly. This is all besides the fact that if anything Jango would've no matter what got the jump on Iron Man. Seriously he's a friggin bounty hunter with loads of experience vs. a rich smart guy that doesn't actually have any skill at all but has loads of money.

I think you're kind of underselling Tony. I mean, yes, Jango wins here. But any of his later suits would beat Jango.
