I'm not necessarily sure. It is a lot to handle--true, but Captain America's experience fighting on the frontlines of WW2 should give him significant experience, and not to mention, his serum from Dr. Erskine basically destroys the fatigue in his body, meaning he could go for as long as his augmented body would hold out.
