Iron Fist vs Raiden

Both combatants are in-character. This will be the current Iron Fist vs the MKII-era Raiden. The battle is hand-to-hand and is set at the place of the final fight scene from Big Trouble in Little China.

Are we using the Raiden from MK 9?

@Vance Astro: He has fighting skills on a sufficient level that he could give Iron Fist a fight along with being a god he has complete control over the element of lighting and thunder. Raiden also has the advantages of flight and teleportation in this fight.

Raiden can fly and teleport so It'd be hard for Danny to close the distance and wreck him up close. It just depends if Raiden can keep Danny at range .

Iron Fist completely outclasses him physically, so I'd say he wrecks him.

His feats in MK9 don't suggest he can hang with Danny up close.

If Raiden can attack sufficiently from a distance, he wins.Up close Danny would beat the hell out of him.

Danny's a better physical fighter, but Raidens a Thunder God. Even Lu Kang didnt last very like taking a chance against Raiden.

@Dex_Starr: Mortal Kombat 9 Raiden's Chapter, you can watch the whole story mode of Mortal Kombat 9 on youtube (I can post a link) and reading some of the character's bios will help a lot also.

Raiden can't be the only character that fought Kabal in the entire tournament.

The only people based off what I remember that have fought and defeated Kabal are Raiden and Sindel (she was enhanced).

I'm gonna go with Raiden. Id thing an Immortal god of thunder has a lot more time to practice martial arts then Ironfist then theres the whole god thing.

The issue here is Raiden is forever dumb down and hardly does anything. Your standard Raiden should lose without much effect. However, going by his showing in Deadly Alliance, he can control lightning on a large scale. So if he fights like that, he should be able to win.

@Reptilicus: MK Deadly Alliance isn't canon to MK 9 and since when did Raiden's ending become canon?

@nick_hero22: The only thing non-canon stated in Raiden's DA ending is the Deadly Alliance not being defeated. Even in the intro of MK4, it has Raiden standing in the middle of rain and lightning striking around him.

@nick_hero22: You mean only a part of it isn't canon. There's nothing mentioned about Raiden getting powered up either.

Regardless, Raiden's MK4 intro shows the same thing.
