Good point.
My mistake - getting confused on threads now....

I am a huge fan of Infinty Man but I don't see, that based on his normal level of power, how he would defeat SMP as he is far tougher and more powerful than even Darkseid.
Considering that the entire energy released fronm a Guardian of the Universe could not kill (or even wound) SMP, I am not clear how the attacks of IM would stop him either.
Although Infinity Man has demonstrated super speed, it is not at the same level of SMP and so SMP should be able to attack first. As durable as IM is, I don't see how SMP's attacks won't harm IM.

I seem to remember a attack from Infinity Man, the Infinity Beam which was hugely powerful if my memory serves me correct. he once shot Mantis with it and it removed all his energy. he also managed to stop lasers mid-air on Apokalyps and sent them back to their senders. Couldn't he do something like that to superman?.. Although you're probably right in the speed factor..
