scot could talk iceman into frozen tears. his intelect is so advanced and his knowladge on bobby is so detailed he could (if allowed) talk him into commiting suicide. heres the thing bobby knows this and wont let him. so bobby ftw.
If Bobby has the full potential of his powers then he takes this. If it is kept in character then that is another story and he has more than a run for his money.

Here's an easy one for you then. He imprisons Cyclops in ice, that restricts his head movement, so that Cyclops cannot use his optic beams to blast free.

Iceman has killed at least 2 people by using their own fluids to re-form himself. I'd be happy to get you the issue numbers if you want. I may even have a scan of him completely dehydrating and killing a woman.

Yes it was. I know we all dislike Chuck Austen, but it's still canon. If you want a scan of him doing similar from the Supoernovas arc, I can get ahold of that too.
Cyclops would be more willing to fight fight Iceman then Iceman would be to kill Cyclops. This one single difference could make all the difference for someone like Scott.
It doesn't have to be a kill to be a win. Simply taking him out, if only for a few minutes, would be enough to earn a win for Cyclops.

How can he not stop Iceman? No where in the opening post does it say that he has to kill him. Cyclops has put Bobby on his butt before he can do it again. He has the better experience, the tactical edge, is smarter, and his powers are also on the go. He does not have to think but just look and have his eyes open to blast Bobby to where he has to actually think on what he is going to do.
Now unless you are using Bobby out of character then he is not going to go straight for a kill move. His first choice would not be to drain Scott of his hydration. Fact is Bobby is arrogant and a prankster that would cost him as Cyclops does not mess around when it comes to fights, or even training sessions in the danger room.
Everyone uses Bobby out of character in the battle forum, and they always think of him as an Omega level mutant even though he has not consistently shown these abilities, even if he potentially is capable of them.

I don't even have to use him out of character. Cyclops blasts him and smashes him apart. Bobby's powers still work. He draws the ambient heat from around Cyclops freezing him in a block of ice and reforms.

Well Booby must have frozen the water to reform his body from the water he took from the characters body shown in the scans. Therefore he still has the ability to influence ambient heat.
Ice man is capable of ice clones so in most cases it's a win for Ice man, the best Scott can Hope for is the fight to take place in a more Arid climate.
