I need some help for a tournament idea i had. It would be a point based tournament where you pick your powers, skills, weapons, and perks. I'm not knowledgeable enough to put a wide range of things in the tourney or to lay everything out where it makes since.

So if you would like to help create ideas and lay things out for me tell me and we'll make a PM where we can talk about it.

Here is the link to dedmanwalkin's build a charater One

@esquire: Any Idea where his earlier one is that has the points already listed. I've skimmed every other page of his forums up to 33 with no luck ( I did the first 15 all before alternating)

@joewell: As for layout, start with a basic outline and get more specific as you fill it in. Here's what I would do, more or less:

Powers

Offensive

- Ranged

- Close Combat

Defensive

- Durability/Shielding

- Distraction/Evasion

General

- Physical Stats

- Non-Combat

Skills

Fighting

- Unarmed

- Armed

- Stealth

Non-Combat

- Tech

- Tactics

- Manipulation

Weapons

Ranged

- Futuristic/Energy

- Modern/Traditional

Close Combat

- Offensive

- Defensive

Perks

Combat

- Offensive

- Defensive

Passive

- Help you

- Hurt the Opponent

(I don't really know what you're thinking for perks, this one needs the most elaboration)

@esquire: Not really, but thanks for asking

I really don't know if i can do this, if anyone else would like to steal the idea and try to make progress with go right ahead

I like Esquire's idea.

Maybe to make it a lot better for terms of debating rather than just hearsay and whatever, you can have them quantify a power, stat, or ability to the level of a character who already exists.

For example, give them Bane's strength, and then they can use all Bane's Strength-based feats to show that character's power.

Or have Cyclops's optics attacks, Amodeus Cho's intelligence, and use all his intelligence feats. etc. etc.

Just to build off what he's already laid down as a foundation.

Thanks for reading,

Well, i'd like to set up a tournament and liked alot some of the ideas posted here.

If you can't, i'd be glad to take this on.
