HUNTED: Thor

Welcome to part 1 of a series of battles that pits various powerhouses against teams of hunters, hellbent on their capture. For this battle, Thor the Thunderer finds himself attacked from all sides by the multiverse's most notorious warriors. From Earth to Krypton to Holy Terra, is there anyone who can challenge the God of Thunder?

The Battlefield: The Amazon - A large, indestructible force field surrounds the Amazon. The top of the field is ABOVE the cloud cover. It will rain frequently throughout the match. The Amazon IS populated by the various native tribes. They may assist either team, if they wish.

The Rules:

For Thor - Thor finds himself teleported to the middle of the Amazon Jungle. Upon trying to escape, he finds that he cannot fly above the treeline or create portals. He has no knowledge of what is coming. Between each hunting party, Thor has an hour to do what he pleases before another team is brought to the field. Thor has mjolnir!

For Hunters - The hunting parties each spend two months with SHIELD, and have access to all knowledge that SHIELD has on Thor. After these two months, the hunters are allowed to take whatever equipment they wish for the hunt. They cannot, however, take any additional personnel. Once the hunters enter the jungle, they cannot leave until they capture Thor or are defeated. None of the Hunters are allowed to fly above the tree-line.

Everyone is in-character, but determined to win. Thor will only use God blast if he deems it absolutely necessary.

NO planetbusting

Victory Conditions: The hunters have to subdue Thor by whatever means necessary, and take him to the obelisk in the center of the arena. Thor does NOT have to be alive for the Hunters to win; they merely have to have Thor's body touch the obelisk.

Thor has to survive each hunting party to gain his freedom. He can defeat a hunting party by surviving for a year, or killing his hunters. The Hunters are NOT allowed to teleport Thor within 50 yards of the obelisk.

Round 1: Bat-Family (Batman, Nightwing, The Robins, Red Hood, ect) New 52

Round 2: Flash's Rogues (Captain Cold, Heatwave, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang, Weather Wizard, and Professor Zoom) Pre-52

Round 3: Teen Titans (Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Superboy, Impulse, Raven, Robin) Pre-52

Round 4: New Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Echo, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Luke Cage) NOTE: Iron Man is not allowed access to his Thorbuster armor. Because that's cheating.

Round 5: Illuminati: (Namor, Black Bolt, Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man and Doctor Strange)

Round 6: Ultramarine Brigade (5 dreadnaughts, 40 space marines, 1 captain)

Round 7: Fantastic Four

Round 8: Hulk Family (Hulk, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, Red She Hulk, Abomination)

Round 9: Kryptonians (Superman, Supergirl, Powergirl, Superboy) New 52

Round 10: Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hyperion, Manifold, Shang-Chi, Smasher, Sunspot)

Round 11: Heralds of Galactus (Silver Surfer, Firelord, Terrax, Nova)

Also, rounds are lightly out of order.

Could honestly stop at round 1. Jason Todd with All Blades, the Hellbat suit, and all around stealth could allow the Bat Fam to get the win

Hellbat + All Blades make this extremely tough for Thor. I give him the win anyway 6/10

Round 2: Flash's Rogues (Captain Cold, Heatwave, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang, Weather Wizard, and Professor Zoom) Pre-52

Rogues 10/10. Thawne solos, Mirror Master solos with BFR, Cold could solo by freezing him to absolute zero.

Round 3: Teen Titans (Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Superboy, Impulse, Raven, Robin) Pre-52

Titans 10/10

Round 4: New Avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Echo, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, and Luke Cage) NOTE: Iron Man is not allowed access to his Thorbuster armor. Because that's cheating.

Thor 9/10. Nobody on this team can really harm him except Wolverine, and Logan gets one shotted with Mjolnir.

Round 5: Illuminati: (Namor, Black Bolt, Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man and Doctor Strange)

Black Bolt may solo, Strange solos. Illuminati 10/10

Round 6: Ultramarine Brigade (5 dreadnaughts, 40 space marines, 1 captain)

Round 7: Fantastic Four

Reed with prep solos 10/10

Round 8: Hulk Family (Hulk, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, Red She Hulk, Abomination)

Team, easily. A single Hulk gives him a good fight, 5 stomp him 10/10.

Round 9: Kryptonians (Superman, Supergirl, Powergirl, Superboy) New 52

Superman could potentially solo, adding the rest is spite. Thor goes down 10/10 times.

Round 10: Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hyperion, Manifold, Shang-Chi, Smasher, Sunspot)

Avengers 10/10. Hulk and Hyperion can take him.

Round 11: Heralds of Galactus (Silver Surfer, Firelord, Terrax, Nova)

Surfer solos. Heralds lolroflstomp 10/10.

So every round is a stomp except R1.

Yeah... he'll be lucky if he gets passed round 2...

Stops at 1.

This is such a good idea for a battle.

@cosmicallyaware1: Yeeeaaahhh..I was just pulling things from the Phonebook; and the Phonebook exists to attract notice, no?

I didn't see Thor clearing; this was mainly to take a powerhouse and judge just how powerful they really are. I've taken note of Thor's limitations, and will adjust things accordingly in the future.

So, what I've learned today: Speedsters > Thor

@misterwhisper: If the only option of Mirror Master is BFR it would be useless since Mjolnir allows Thor to open portals on a whim which is why you hear many people saying dimension dump when Thor is the case.(he has done it before)

Iron Man doesn't have Thorbuster anymore.

I would say Teen Titans have a good chance, but after that I'd say he's for sure not making it past Illuminati.

He dominated the infinity watch which is much stronger than any of these teams ( even 11 )

@cpt_facepuncher: The Insider Suit has access to the Speed Force, so they could blitz Thor with the Insider and the All Blades to cripple him/kill him(depending on who's doing it)

Round 2. The Rouges are incredibly powerful and he is facing too many of them.

Mirror Master's BFR can work in one of two ways:

• He throws Thor into the Mirror World and Thor opens a portal out w/Mjolnir if that's all Mirror Master does.
• He throws Thor into a pocket dimension within the Mirror World and breaks the mirror in which he used to do so, thus destroying the entire dimension and killing everyone inside.

That's what makes Mirror Master's BFR a game-ending move, he'd BFR and break that mirror before Thor could realize he was in a different dimension and react.

He points his Mirror at them and then after a huge flash they're generally trapped inside.

There's also the fact that Mirror Master can blind Thor this entire fight by going into the Mirror World himself and creating duplicates to hide in his eyes, thus making it impossible for light to enter them rendering him blinded.

@thetruebarryallen: Now a counter for the first option would either be throwing Mjolnir at MM before he can react, blast him with lightning or bullrush him(which I doubt he would in character). For the second option the only counter would be an area of effect blast.

Well; Mirror Master can take the others into the Mirror World with him and seeing as they've had 2 months w/S.H.I.E.L.D. knowledge about Thor they probably realize that they'll have to use their trickier tactics rather than go head to head.

@thetruebarryallen: I just realized that prep part. IIRC MM was a genius (I only know him from cartoons and animated movies) so I think he could use that knowledge to their advantage. And I'm only talking as if Thawne wasn't involved. Because he solos with or without prep.

Yeah the prep bit makes it a huge game changer for sure. If this was a random encounter Thor would have more of a chance.

As for MM's intelligence; he isn't an idiot but he isn't Luthor or Mister Terrific level either. He didn't build his tech but comprehends it enough to use it to a great degree.

Thor could only win Rounds 1 and 4 anyway, everywhere else he gets stomped on.
