Who wins?
Human Torch VS Electro
Depends what electro.Electro from the animated series took on the entire shield and captain americas crew plus spiderman.human torch cannot beat that electro
" If Electro can deliver a critical blow before Johnny can transform id say it could do the trick "He surely does since his blow will travel with the speed of lighting
Electro's an Idiot, and idiot, and Johnny's a arrogant douche so..... I gotta go with a tie
It's a tie {5-5}
electros a dumbass tho johnny is no slouch where theres heat he is in his element and heat is everywhere morals off electro dies
They both can one shot each other
I think this could go either way. Johnny's flight and aerial agility is a nice advantage, but Electro has the faster attack. I'm 50/50 on this one without details.
Human Torch has a huge speed and flight advantage while both of their energy projection levels may remain the equivalent to each other. Although one-shotting each-other is quite possible, and Electro zapping Johnny to death is possible too. Though I'm still giving the majority to Johnny because he has range.
Mr. Z~kun
If Electro can get a decent hit on the Torch it'll be over quickly, Human Torch(other than his flame-resistant suit and powers of fire) has the anatomical abilities of a normal human, who also happens to have some good combat training.
Electricity could stop his heart if he hits, but to do that he needs the jump on em. Otherwise torchie can just fire-ball em.
Electro would easily win. Even if he misses with his bolt the sound alone would blow out Human Torch's ear drums and disorient him giving Electro more time to fire another. Plus Electro can fly, become intangible and move at the speed of light if he wants to. It just requires precious use of stored juice which is his biggest weakness. Sure Max Dillon is not a genius when it comes to combat tactics but he is very smart when it comes to understanding electronics.
@strider92: I think Electro can become intangible to physical attacks not to fire atacks. When heat goes threw Electro will agitate the Molecules in the air charged by Electro's electric body and mess with his molecules.
IF Electro is not jobbing he wins
Johnny but not easily. See the thing with Max his as powerful as he can be only just recently has he unleashed his powers at a level sufficient with killing someone in the majority of his history he opts for short blasts of electricity to stun his enemies or knock them unconcious and couldn't really hold the juice long enough to kill them.
HOWEVER with the reboot of Amazing Spider-Man following Superior Spider-Man his powers received a massive boost making him on part with his movie counterpart and ultimate Electro. He still requires a lot of electricity to fully use his power but his capacity and ability to unleash it these days are very impressive and yes a match for the human touch but I still give torch the win because he doesn't need to draw his power from another source.
human torch has insane durability lol im saying he wins a solid majority
Durability
Physical Resistance
Energy Resistance
Tanks a blast from Oculus. His blasts are strong enough to destroy mountains
Tanks a blast from Kree Iron Man (his weapons are described as being stronger than the real thing’s)
Other
Is resistant to heat and flame. He can be hurt by hellfire though
He can create a heat shield that according to him will stop anything short of an atomic blast
Miscellaneous
@rpgesus: Wow...
Human Torch wins.
Flame Manipulation
Power
Aside from his nova explosions he can also make fireballs and fireblasts nova hot.
Melts through two-feet of Molybdenum. Molybdenum has the sixth-highest melting point of any element.
He’s knocked back the Hulk. Does it again
Destroys a fire elemental by consuming all the oxygen in a mile with a flare
He nearly breaks free from one of Sue’s forcefields He probably would have succeeded if he hadn’t run out of oxygen.
While using the Four’s combat training room he vaporizes all of the room’s defenses. It should be noted that the defenses in the room were specifically meant to challenge the Human Torch.
The heat from his Nova flams is described as being similar to that of a nuclear blast
Knocks Silver Surfer off his board. This doesn’t hurt him at all but it’s still impressive.
Control
Some character statements on the great control Johnny has over his powers
Fences with a flaming sword construct that won’t hurt his opponent if it hits
He tricks Reed (who’s a pretty smart guy) into thinking he incinerated Doom
Creates intense heat but controls it enough that no one else near him can feel it
He’s able to destroy a man’s armor without the man under it getting hurt at all
He’s able to suck out the moisture from a person’s body. At one point he uses this ability to defeat She-Hulk
He can create mirages. They’re even good enough to fool Dr. Doom!
He is also somehow able to make flame and fireballs without heat.
Johnny’s accurate enough to ignite Ben’s cigar, destroy a man’s rocket boots and destroy the Vulture’s wings without hurting them.
He creates a working probing device out of fire (don’t ask how this is possible)
When fighting someone he doesn’t want to hurt he knocks them out by creating heat waves
Can sense heat signatures, and uses this to locate the invisible beings. 2.
Uses a man’s cigarette to create a smokescreen. He can also create large amounts of smoke from his own body
Absorption
He can also absorb fire, even if it’s created by another fire manipulator
He’s able to absorb Blastaar’s explosive blasts and shoot them back as flame
Other
His flames allows him to fly by making his molecules lighter than air. Just kidding! It’s actually because of a cloud of hydrogen atoms
At one point he knocks out the Impossible Man by creating a hypnotic pattern in the sky
Speed and Maneuverability
Creates a thousand foot tall tornado by flying in circles. Another example
Quickly veers off course to avoid the Impossible Man’s buzzsaw
While injured he dodges a water blast shot at him by the Hulk
Destroys the Trapster’s paste and then blitzes him through a wall
His flame duplicates are described as moving “faster than human eyes can follow”
Quickly shoots down a barrage of rocks batted at him by She Hulk
While flamed off, he reacts quickly enough to melt bullets after they’ve been shot at him
@strider92: I think Electro can become intangible to physical attacks not to fire atracks. When heat goes threw Electro will agitate the Molecules in the air charged by Electro's electric body and mess with his molecules.
Not to make your awesome list irrelevant but.....
Lightning is ionized air. Air is a gas. Ionized gas is known as plasma. HT is made of plasma.
In a battle between two opponents wielding similar forces the battle should go to who has the greater difference in skill or raw power. I think HT has a little more in skill, much more raw power.
People been smoking some good stuff in this thread, are people actually forgetting every street level we under the sun has dodged electors blasts
I posted on here before with the same idea but shouldn't Electro have a pretty high heat resistance given the nature of his powers? Here's a pic of him melting steal with ease and one of him hurting the Human Torch. To be fair, I don't know if the Torch image is canon but it makes sense that electricity would hurt the Torch. Morals off, I can see a nova Torch likely being too much but even that might depend on the incarnation. If Electro can turn into electricity, I don't think the Torch could do anything.
