Man I hate Batman. Yes, I get that he's tactically perfect, a super-duper-wuper-genius and all that, but at the end of the day he's only human. One more time: he's not a super hero, he's a regular hero. Not super.

Hell, even his gadgets aren't that super. Let's think about his gadgetry for a second....

Bat-gadgetry is advanced compared to the real world - we can't build a grapnel gun like Batman's, for instance. Compared to real world stuff, Batman's toolkit is science fiction. But...

Compared to the stuff that regularly appears in comic books, especially in Fantastic Four comics, Bat-gadgetry is stone knives and sticks. Batman has flash-bangs, smoke pellets, a grapnel guns, and batarangs. The Fantastic Four fight villains like Dr. Doom. Doom comes at them with time machines, Doombots, gravity-manipulation weapons, mind-control technology, force fields, and all manner of mind-boggling technological insanity.

The point is that there is nothing Batman can throw at the Torch that will surprise Johnny. Nothing.

Batman's human with stone knives and sticks. The Human Torch is a cosmic-powered superhuman who cut his teeth against enemies like Dr. Doom.

Batman should win pretty easily.

I agree with everything else, except this one. Different people take the word "superhero" differently, a superpower for me is something extraordinary, something nobody else cando.

Batman has extraordinary gadgets, tactics and what puts him above all is his adapting, he can adapt to any situation that he is put on, that is what makes him above others for me.

I would call him a superhero.

@sirneko: @twogungunnar: You're correct. Everyone does have a different definition of the world super hero which is cool. I don't consider batman a super hero. IMO a superhero can do things that a normal human can't do no matter how hard they train. Any regular comic person can train to be like Batman. But no matter how hard they try they will never be able to read minds or breathe in space unaided. IMO when you can do something that a normal person can never do, then you are super.
