Apollo could have Hulk's back blown out in a few minutes or so... and Midnighter could just get his Digital Camera and take pictures of the Apollo beatdown on Hulk and upload them on ComicVine for some Submission Points...

Well this aint WW Hulk so it shouldnt be much trouble at all... for a near Superman level character in Apollo to take down Hulk... he may get in a shot or so here or there... but he aint winning this fight... I mean we will have to see all of the action later on tonight... I hear that Midnighter took some great shots of the fight and he plans on uploading the images later on... he even got a shot of Apollo hitting Hulk with a Right Cross that knocked some of the Big Fellas teeth out
It doesn't really need to be WWH! I just don't see Apollo (who's not Superman or Majestic league) Being able to put Hulk down quick enough for Hulk to get the better of him and trash both him and his partner.

Who's to say he wasn't holding his breath? That was just some more insanely stupid writing of that series. Hulk has ALWAYS needed to breath (which is way the sleeping gas trick use to work on him so well).

Oh that is very serious... and Thor has beaten Hulk on multiple occasions... so what does it mean if he loses to him once or twice ? It isnt like its an ongoing thing here... and Apollo is way faster than Hulk could ever be... and if he uses his speed properly with his strength Hulk is down... whenever Thor or Hercules encountered Hulk they hardly ever used solid in battle speed to combat Hulk... they just slugged it out with the brute... they didnt use any evasive measures... whereas Apollo can here... based on his skill set

And just WHEN did that idiocy take place? What issue? Apocalypse can do that. Hulk? No.
As a failsafe Apollo can just sundip. If he needs to do that, Midnighter will tell him to. Having Midnighter there is equivalent to having as much prep as you need.
Apollo does that as a legitimate tactic. I'm not saying he will but knowing that he can ensures the team wins. If there's a one in a million possibility of them winning, Midnighter will make sure that's the possibility is the one that happens. If Apollo absolutely has to sundip, then Mightnighter will make him.

MN would be paste by the time Apollo came back from his sundip lol only to join his friend in the next life ;-)
Apollo picks up The Midnighter and they fly off to catch a movie in another city. They are going to deal with The Hulk on their terms.
They wait until the Hulk has calmed down and has reverted to Bruce Banner. Then the Midnighter tracks Banner down, creeps into Banner's room, and without any fuss kills him. Apollo spends the time catching some rays. If The Midnighter fails to instantly kill Banner then the plan is that The Midnighter run, while Apollo dives towards The Hulk. Apollo fires his eye beams scorching an area for hundreds of miles around. The Midnighter has arranged things beforehand so that there are distractions for The Hulk, enough bombs and tricks for The Midnighter to get into a waiting jet (or whatever he has pre-arranged as his exit plan). Then Apollo hits The Hulk at full speed, driving them both through the Earth's crust. If the impact dosn't send Apollo straight through The Hulk's back like a bullet then The Hulk still has several thousand tons of liquid magma to deal with getting out of. The Hulk might try to grab Apollo but Apollo is pushing him from that bit of the back where it is really hard to reach. Apollo then reverses course and pops back out, for another quick trip around the sun to super-charge. The Hulk might die, or he might just get really mad and burst out in some random city somewhere.
Then Apollo and The Midnighter have 'married night'. The Midnighter cooks, naturally. "I have cooked this meal already in my head a million times, and each time it is delicious". Afterwards they settle down on the sofa to watch Friends.
Then they re-evaluate their plan, and try again once The Hulk is calm Bruce is asleep. Eventually they kill him. Probably they get tired of messing around and just rush him out into space on a trajectory into the heart of the sun. Apollo follows along, pushing space-debris out of The Hulk's way so that The Big Green One has no mass to push against to get back to Earth. The Hulk may be strong but he certainly can't breathe star-stuff (unlike Apollo), and dies in the Sun's outer photosphere.
Then they get ice-cream. Apart from the Hulk, obviously. Ice-cream would melt in the heart of the sun.
