Hobgoblin (Phil Urich version) vs Red Robin (new 52)

Both have standard equipment (flame sword, wings etc)

Gobby wants Drake's head, RR needs to subdue/ko him

Takes place on the rooftops of Gotham

Round 1 - Random encounter, gobby has his sonic scream

Round 2 - Gobby still has his sonic scream but Drake gets an hour prep time

Round 3 - Random encounter but this time Gobby has no sonic scream

No Caption Provided

And yes I only thought of this fight because of the wings

.

In my opinion Hobgoblin takes all 3 rounds.

1. Stomps

2. Wins without to much difficulty

3. Wins without to much difficulty

Prep is useless without intel so as he doesn't know anything about Hobgoblin he won't know what to prep for so it could be a stomp as well. I'm giving Tim the benefit of the doubt. Hobgoblin basically outclasses Tim in every aspect, better speed, strength, standard gear etc...

Round 1 - Random encounter, gobby has his sonic scream (Tim dies)

Round 2 - Gobby still has his sonic scream but Drake gets an hour prep time ( Depends what Tim can bring)

Round 3 - Random encounter but this time Gobby has no sonic scream (Tims dies)

@Morpheus_: I'm abusing our friendship by relying on your logical take on the match to overcome my lack of manners with that post.

I should clarify Tim's prep time is specifically to counter the sonic scream... And as for it being a mismatch I actually thought it was pretty even,I mean if Spider-man could go toe to toe with Gobby I'm sure Tim should at least stand a chance

@Jodez: Spider-man is physically superior to Tim in every aspect. If Gobby manages to fight Spider-man (and beat him) its pretty safe to say he can beat Tim without much trouble.

Spider-Man barely stalemated him with extensive prep and a new costume, not a mere hour. Also, I'm not sure what you mean "if Spider-Man could...then Tim..."

Spider-Man is very much superior to Drake in every possible way bar detective work.

@Jodez: Yes, they're certainly both street level but the difference between Drake and Spider-Man's physicals are vast.

Spider-Man is, for all intends and purposes, the apogee of street level characters before one reaches a point where street level no longer applies as a term to describe him. Tim is a small fish in a very big pond by comparison.

Yeah Spider-man is pretty much as good as you can be as a street leveler without being Fake Street like Midnighter or having a hack hax healing factors or some hax bonus abilities. Hobgoblin takes this. Tim is better then Parker at detective work and pure hand to hand although tim is towards the bottom in H2H when u look at the bat family.

Ok so Parker is better than Drake, but as for Gobby from what I understand as Hobgoblin Urich has no powers besides his sonic scream. So if Tim could find a way to neutralize it that means in rounds 2 & 3 it's just 2 normal guys using their equipment and skills battling it out in the skies and rooftops of Gotham. Urich argueable has the better gadgets (especially the sword) but Tim has the combat training and the home ground advantage. In round 2 where Tim knows what he's up against and Gobby being caught off guard (He'll be expecting his scream to work) it could give Tim an opening he could take advantage of, and in round 3 Tim's knowledge of Gotham could be a great asset in the battle providing he doesn't get his head chopped off of course.

I'm not even sure that Tim has much on Peter in H2H anymore either...due to his recent training by Shang Chi giving him a fighting style specifically designed for his abilities.

You should read Spider Island: Deadly Foes. Not only does he have super strength, but his durability is such that getting repeatedly hit by an SUV to the head doesn't stop him.

@Strider92: Randy Robertson fought him and had a more advanced version of Spider-Man's powers similar to the Other, with stingers, organic webbing and even superior strength. Randy lifted the car over his head and hit Phil with it multiple times before thinking him defeated, but Phil was fully conscious and playing possum.

Yep. Red Robin's a goner. The only way he might stand a chance would be if he used his hour of prep time to go get the Batplane or something, but that would probably go against the OP's "standard equipment" stipulation.

Ah haven't read Spider Island yet... Guess that sorta proves this as a mismatch, my mistake I had no idea Urich was that tough I thought he was just a guy in a suit using Osbourne's toys and his freaky sound powers
