Hobgoblin vs Captain America

Location: On top of Skyscraper. Semi-Destroyed NYC

Tech/Gadgets: Hobgoblin has an updated glider with turrets mounted on it and temporary Holoshield that last up to 40 seconds at a time Captain America has a AK47 along with his shield. Everything else is as it should be.

He used a shotgun at the end of Fear Itself. Anyway, Captain's skills far surpasses HobGob despite that Hob is superior in the strength and endurance department.

The only Goblin I think that can beat Captain America with ease is DemoGoblin. The other two will put up a good fight and then lose.

I'm not too keen on the new Hobby so if it's just like a projectile sonic scream then but I vaguely remember the shield also absorbs sound/sonic waves or something like that. I'd imagine if he could block, it would be similar to any energy/projectile attack he has blocked in the past.

yeah but inCap's time Russia was part of the allies and Germany was the enemy so I'd say cap using an M1 carbine or Thompson sub machine gun would be more realistic than him using an M4,AK-47 or Winchester shotgun also Magnetic Shockwave in that scanit looks like he's holding a semi automatic shotgun not a pump action

How did this help spiderman? Either way i think Caps shield will still absorb enough sound for Steve to keep fighting.

If you want to disregard everything stated, then sure. Cap's shield will "protect him" from the scream.

@acer51: Blasting one of Lady Gaga's songs cancelled out Phil's sonic attack.

And the armor/costume he made protected him from the attack. Rogers has no means to defend against it since it's not a concentrated attack (unlike how Pak portrayed it in Herc), therefore the shield is pointless in defense.

@acer51: I'd imagine the immense amount of pain from the scream.

Could he? Sure, a shield toss from Cap would certainly make Phil stop for a moment or two, but what's stopping him from doing again it later in the match?
