High Tier Team Tournament (SIGN UPS OPEN)

Intro

High Tier Tournament. Anyone's allowed, just follow the points system below.

This is just a run through of one of my old tournaments.

I will probably not be on the Vine until Sunday so I'll get back to contestants then.

Limit

• No power absorption of any kind
• No cloning
• No Dr. Doom
• No Flash or Reverse Flash
• No characters that can and would bust an inhabited planet in character just to take out an enemy
• No time manipulation, although speedsters are allowed
• No character that can solo New 52 Captain Atom and Silver Surfer at once in character

One thing I liked from Hedorah101’s tournament was the points system, which I will be replicating. However this points system will not be used just for characters, but for everything. So, here goes.

You will have 30 points to spend.

Point Values

20 points

• Character that could solo the Justice League original 7 minus Flash (Hal Jordan, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter)

16 points

• One fifth of the Phoenix Force as seen in AvX

10 points

• You choose the battleground (nothing that will make you nigh unbeatable like Magik in limbo)

9 points

Full Knowledge and Perfect Teamwork – 9 points

Full Superman Package (for one character, no Kryptonite weakness or speed) – 9 points

8 points

Character that is FTL – 8 points

Character that can transmute on skyscraper level – 8 points

Character that can bust a planet in one hit – 8 points

Character that have multiple 5-point abilities – 8 points

Omega Level Mutant – 8 points

Orange Lantern Ring - 8 points

7 points

Full Black Bolt package – 7 points

6 points

Immune to Molecular Manipulation/BFR/TP/Magic (choose one) – 6 points

Creation Blades - 6 points

Morals Off - 6 points (*note - morals off cannot amp you in any way - for example you can't claim Fernus for morals off MMH)

5 points

Character that is hypersonic or can teleport – 5 points

Character that can transmute on house level – 5 points

Character that can bust a planet, at base – 5 points

Brain of Tony Stark with 2 days prep and access to Stark Tower – 5 points

Lantern Ring (not White, Black or Orange, and only for one character, and the speed that the ring gives you is nerfed to speed of sound) – 5 points

Superman Strength – 4 points

Character not described in any of the criteria – 3 points

Iron Man armor (not Godkiller or Galactus Buster) – 3 points

Bending (Avatar Verse, mastery over all elements but no bloodbending) – 3 points

Carnage Symbiote – 2 points

Cyclops Vision – 2 points

Emma Frost Diamond Skin – 2 points

15 minutes prep – 2 points

Other stuff

There’s going to be someone that uses 25 street levelers so maximum 12 characters allowed.

I want 16 people but I understand that this may not be feasible so if you're the 13th, 14th or 15th person to sign up you may get kicked out if nobody else signs up.

Battles take place on an uninhabited DC Earth 20k BC, all prep takes place there as well, unless battlefield perk is purchased.

You do NOT get mastery of all equipment automatically.

and.. like the last time... darkraiden would again take monica rambeau (a light speeder) for 5 points... and his argument would be

"light speed is by definition comes under hypersonic speed... and 8 point limit is faster than light... as monica is literally light speed, not faster than it, so i can use it for 5 points.. as a hypersonic character" .. :D

• 10 Points: I choose the battleground
• 6(2) Points: FTL Characters: MMSF Megaman and MMSF Rogue
• 6 Points: Morals Off

10+6(2)+6=28. Nothing else because there;s nothing else I want.

Team Justification

I'm writing this in case anyone is going to try and debate that my team members should be at a different price range:

• Mirror Master doesn't meet any of the criteria set in other tiers. He cannot bust a planet in any way/shape/form nor is he FTL. His transmutation abilities are also limited and he can't transmute on a skyscraper level with his Mirror Gun.
• Madison Jefferies isn't an Omega Level Mutant.
• Forge isn't an Omega Level Mutant and while his power is unique and incredibly useful he doesn't fit into the other criteria; thus making him a 3 pointer.
• Cyborg Superman is an 8 point character and here is why; he cannot solo the Justice League unless he's given himself prep beforehand and is using non-standard gear. He's been bested by Superman multiple times and only BEAT Superman when he had access to a plethora of Yellow Lantern Rings. In a random encounter he might be able to take Arthur, Hal, Bruce, and Diana down but MMH & Superman should be able to best him on their better days. He also isn't FTL nor is he 1/5th of the Pheonix Force in his standard state.

Can I get in? If so can I use Thanos?

@thenewbluebeetle007 One question: Can the prep with Stark's Tower involve using any suits that might happen to be in there?

@thetruebarryallen: That is one of the scariest teams I've ever seen. I don't even want to know what you're planning on doing with that prep.

@thenewbluebeetle007: I think I've got a pretty good team. It's mostly people I've debated with before because of time constraints. I really don't want to have to find new evidence. They are composite except for stated limitations. They should fit within these limits:

Dr Fate (8) - No Nabu or Nelson

Composite Elseworlds Superman (8) - This pretty much just refers to various Elseworlds' stories involving Superman. KC, Red Son, Earth 16 (Post Crisis Variation), Earth 13, Earth 32, All Star, and Injustice are the only versions I plan on using. I'll notify you if I decide to try anything else.

15 Minutes of Prep (2)

Mr Miracle (1) - No Anti-Life Equation/High Tier stuff; just the peak human escape artist with lots of technology. I'll even make him the version after Scott Free (the human one) if anyone's worried about that.

Atom 1 Million (1)

Injustice Raven (1) - She is featless except for dimensional travel. The most impressive combat feat she's had is getting punked by Constantine (another words nothing above street level). I only want her for one reason, and that ability does not break these constraints. I won't use any feats outside Injustice, making her a 1.

@firestormfate1919: I feel like some of your characters might break the Street Level limits from what I've read of them:

• Amazing Man is basically Absorbing Man with more powers; if he touches the creation blades can't he just become the same material they're made out of?
• Atom 1 Million has near-endless duplication and can shrink to microscopic sizes, right? Atom usually isn't allowed in Street Level Tournaments.

@thetruebarryallen: Yeah, that's actually exactly what I was going to do. I'll make Atom a 3 if needed (especially if I can't use the AM-CB combo and sell them), but making clones is illegal.

Can he? it might be the first time I say something like this, but that sucks if he can. I haven't seen anything in my few scans of him.....but if that's the case I'm gonna need to change my team somewhat.

@darkraiden: He might be able to and I can't provide any evidence of it at the moment, but according to his CV wiki (I know these aren't the most dependable) it says he can teleport via some of his spells.

Just something to perhaps look into.

he's only hypersonic in speed? (well you can't opt to not answer this question if you still think light speed is viable for hypersonic speed :D)

Ok, I'd like to get rid of the Creation Blades and replace them with a 5 and a 1. I'd also like to eliminate the 15 minutes of Prep, giving me 8 total points.

@firestormfate1919: So...teleporting is a 5 point skill. Thus Raven would be 5. And no cloning so you might wanna change Atom 1 million if that's what he does.
