@dextersinister As stated in his bio, Takion is the living embodiment of the Source. I don't see how nay New God would be able to hurt him. It's part of the reason the Source took away his powers during Death of the New Gods.

If he was the avatar of the source then he would not have needed to take away his powers as he would have been part of him.

Although we are trying to make sense of New Gods history which is a mess.

@dextersinister: Takion can't die. The Source probably took away his powers is that he could kill him.

I also woukd say that since Takion is the living embodiment of the Source, for the Source to take copreal form and try to join with the Anti Life Entity, he'd need all of his power back.

@dondave: If you are the avatar of someone then you are a fragment of them, in essence a miniature version so the source wouldn't have needed to kill him as he would have held the same ideals as the source.

The idea of the source being a sentient being is also questionable as some writers don't even consider it canon as it was just a made up on the spot story to cash in on the upcoming Final Crisis and it doesn't mesh well with it.

@dextersinister: Yes and the Source took back the abilities it gave Takion. Takion would never agree with killing the New Gods

If he didn't agree then it means he wasn't the avatar of the source because he would be disagreeing with himself, he just had access to it.

Although I prefer to ignore DOTNG and assume that they all killed each other in a great war which was what was suppose to have happened.

@dextersinister: Being the Source's avatar doesn't mean he'd agree with it. Just look at Galactus and Silver Surfer.

He was after all given the power to embody the light side if the Source. Stayne would have had no problem with what the Source was doing.

@dondave: If we use galactus as an exmaple of a god then Silver Surfer would not be an avatar, he would be more like a prophet.

If Galactus created a lesser copy of himself then that could be considered an avatar.

@dextersinister: There isn't any difference. Just like Silver Surfer, Takion was just a normal guy until he granted his abilities from a higher power. He was called the Source's avatar by Izaya on different occasions.

This is unfair. All the heralds will die easily by DC. It will only be Silver Surfer vs DC, and he can barely defeat Captain Atom. How can he beat the entire team?

DC got this . They have too many Power houses plus HEL. Thats not wise . Over stomp . What is surfer going to do win ? Whats terrax going to do ?
