How?

With his magic, shouldn't Loki stomp Hawkman any day of the week any day of the week being one of the most powerful magic users in the Marvel universe (and above many in even the DC universe)? I mean, the last round should go to Hawkman, but either way it's a bit onesided.

Did you realize that Hawkman is actually pretty magic resistant? That is why I made this battle. And I get he is good with magic and that is great but the most prep I gave him is only 1 hour and he is against the most powerful version of Hawkman in that round. The other rounds Loki doesn't really know who he is facing. And if you ask me, Hawkman with the claw of Horus is arguable on the same level as base Thor. I don't see that as spite. Yeah, Loki might still win but it wouldn't be super easy for him.

Pretty magic resistant must go a REALLY long way then, especially when speaking of Loki's magic. And...I am not sure what it matters if Loki knows his opponent or not, same with Hawkman (what has he done with prep btw?).

By the way, what makes you think Claw of Horus Hawkman is on the same level as base Thor? Not saying he isn't,but this is my first time hearing about this.

I wouldn't say Loki couldn't still hurt Hawkman with magic but him being a bit resistant does help. And well neither of them knows what they are in for, and tbh, Loki is one of those villains who likes to play things out and talk. Hawkman kinda just goes for the kill once he sees a threat. Just saying.

And because with the Claw of Horus he hits with the gravitational force of the Earth. So his strength is enhanced greatly, I would say on that base thor, superman type level. Of course he doesn't have all those extra abilities that Thor has but still.

At times,I think I can see Loki toying with his enemies, but it's kinda because he can. I mean,he's tanked hits from people (in his adult form) that would eat out Hawkman's heart. So I am not sure (with his abilities like powerful illusions, teleporting, etc. General magic stuff like that) that Hawkman, despite taking the fight more seriously, would really be able to hit him unless Loki allowed it.

And because with the Claw of Horus he hits with the gravitational force of the Earth. So his strength is enhanced greatly, I would say on that base thor, superman type level. Of course he doesn't have all those extra abilities that Thor has but still.

Okay. Thanks

@dedrabbit: Loki would beat Thor, he only loses because of plot. Giving Loki prep actually made this kind of one-sided.

He only has prep for round 1. So okay, he might win that one. But the second round Hawkman is about a 100 tonner and Loki gets no prep at all. Then the third round is purely combat skills. No magic.

@zhurong: I don't recall him ever summoning the midgard serpent every time he gets in a fight. And i don't think he'd be laughing at all. More like just getting his face pounded in by a superior fighter.

Loki could probably just turn himself invisible and toy with Hawkman for the first two rounds, right?

@amazingcurbstompman@jack_@myerlanski My whole thing is that even in the new 52, when he comes in contact with magic or spells his Nth metal deactivates its effects. Granted Lokis magic is probably a bit higher level than what he is used too.

@dedrabbit: Loki doesn't always exactly use magic from spells all the time..he usually has gadgets and such like his staff which is why i gave him the rounds.

IF i was to disregard that, then maybe possibly hawkman can take all 3 rounds

@dedrabbit: well what has the nth metal deactivated magically that would be considered on Loki's level of cosmic energy and matter manipulation and magic ....

He honestly doesn't have that many feats doing it that I am aware of. I know in his new 52 solo run it was mentioned a few times his nth metal was capable of that. But Idk what level you'd consider the spells he was negating. It has disrupted magical force fields, hurt ghosts and spirits and generally protects him against magic attacks

Here he is tanking a pretty decent magical blast.

Nth metal will help him against direct magic attacks, though Loki's are light year's better than Gentlemen Jim's. Loki has secondary attacks (ice blasts (slowing Hawkman down), convert local insects and vermin to giant size to serve him, demon calling) that I don't think will help him. Physically Loki is also very durable and quite strong.
