How about both combined? Also why do "Books LOTR murders"? People like Gandalf, even in books, have shown few magical feats.

Morgoth solos, in soul or body form.
I disagree. I think combining Dumbledore and Voldemort they could try something to trap his soul.

Morgoth can shatter dimensional walls. And unlike most LOTRs characters, Morgoth has the feats to back that up. Before Dagor Dagorath, he shatters the Door of Night, the gateway from the physical realm to the Void. There's nothing stopping him from tearing apart the physical plane, effectively destroying the world.
And how are they going to trap his soul? I'm no Harry Potter expert, but I've never heard of such a thing.
Immortal Beings who were part of creation of world vs a bunch of cheap magicians.
So hard to Guess.
If this includes the Maiar, the Valar, and everything else, I'm probably going to..... side with...... LOTR.......

And then add in Ungoliant for LotR.
Tom Bombadil anyone?
Yeah, stomp.
