Lecters more clever but the Dragon is physically superior.
This is young Lecter and Dragon is not physically superior in any way.
@d3athstroke: Bigger and stronger = Physically superior

He's stronger.
@omgomgwtfwtf: How does he stomp without prep? Dolarhyde is significantly larger and is a bodybuilder. IIRC, he even used to be in the army so he's had some formal combat training. Near the end of the film, he could still get up after taking several gunshots.

@gunmetalgrey: Dolarhyde if I could remember had significant mental problems. Dolarhyde also worshiped Hannibal. While Dolarhyde may be larger and 'stronger'. I wouldn't consider it that vast of a difference where Hannibal couldn't pull out a win. Hannibal has extensive knowledge of the human body, I wouldn't be surprised if he just chewed out the jugular of Dolarhyde's neck after mentally abusing him some.
@omgomgwtfwtf: See, here's the problem, this is young Hannibal, someone whom Dolarhyde wouldn't recognize. If Hannibal even gets the chance to introduce himself, Dolarhyde would probably just be pissed off thinking some punk is impersonating his idol. Dolarhyde is also the quiet type of killer. He only ever spoke to the ones he had been personally close to, the journalist that publicly provoked him, and of course Will Graham. The only reason Will was able to "mentally abuse" him was because Will was both psychologically gifted and had been on Dolarhyde's case for months, in which time he had been building a psychological profile for him. And yes, the difference in strength is pretty significant since Dolarhyde has been described as exceptionally strong, even for his already larger size, while the older Lecter was nowhere near his size. With prep? Sure, I could give Hannibal the edge since that's his forte, but without it, Dolarhyde wins at least 7/10 times.
Hannibal's a beast though, and he's psychologically brilliant. If there's any way at all to get into Dolarhyde's head he'd do it. Hannibal due to his (one of the best in literature) intelligence.
