@Jayfournines...True dat....He bascically had a power for any situation if you go back and watch those movies, coming up with different powers on the fly...Hancock doesn't really have a chance....A better match-up will be when Man of Steel is released and we have a more "believable" (if you will) movie Superman to use in these threads

Hancock's upper limits where never shown though.

What could give him the edge though is his healing factor. Even if Supes can damage him, and he probably can, Hancock has shown that he can heal from lethal damage instantly. At the end of the movie when he was vulnerable he was dying. Then he lept from a building away from the Charlize Theron character and was pretty much was instantly better.

So let's say Superman smashes him up in a fight. Ok, then a second later, Hancock is perfectly fine again.

you guys seem to have misread the OP. Hancock IS as Strong and fast as superman. Superman cannot physically hurt or even scratch hancock. The same applies for hancock. So who would be more likely to die if they reach the planet

If you can provide me a single feat showing Hancock going FTL or traveling around the planet backwards so fast he reverses time, then I will give you that. But until you provide a video of Hancock EVER traveling in time, then your argument is sort of null and void.

Seriously though, Christopher Reeves Superman was about as ridiculous as Adam West Batman.

that's becuz they got feats that shown he is FTL. and Hancock lose in this debate is becuz of his lack of feats.

But it will be a good fight though, Hancock can still give Supes a hard time before he flies FTL and hit him with a Light-Speed Punch.

But they have different traits for example Superman has laser vision, ice breath and many others. Hancocks people dont have that. But instead they have things like time manipulation, weather control and many more

Even if they were equal, and couldn't harm each other (they can) superman from this movie is shown to fly faster than hancock. Even with his speed boost he is much faster. Superman i shown flying around the world several times in a second. And that, is MUCH faster than the speed of light.

Finally, don't make threads if your going to pertain to one side of the match in a complete bias, arguing only for one person in the fight.

I HATE Superman, and I actually really enjoyed Hancock, but I just don't see how he could beat Christopher Reeves Superman...

@hudyman: First off I understand what you are trying to do. That being said before I get into the actual discussion at hand:

This thread has been done before. Copies of threads usually get locked. Always be sure to check the Battle forums with the search engine before starting a new thread. Also Feats are important on the Vine, its what separates us from just having childlike arguments that go around in circles. Assuming is not a feat, when you assume sir you make an A$$ out of you and me.

Now to the actually debate:

They are similar but are not actually the same race. Kryptonians racial concepts are pretty cut and dry. They get their powers from the Sun and have a specific power set, except in the Reeves films in which Superman could do anything that was needed by Plot.

Hancock's race wasn't as clearly defined. They were considered Gods and would lose their powers if they stayed within a certain proximity of their perspective mates. Hancock was never shown to actually go FTL in the film, the closest assumption to that was when he flew to the moon. But we were never actually told how long it took him to do so.

Question where is the battle taking place? Kyptonite is near his Wife but I remember nothing from the film of why that would matter. Especially if she is nowhere near the battlefield.

@hudyman: I read the OP, I'm not sure if you were trying to make this a race to another galaxy? but if so, it was rather vague. Im not sure how kryptonite or his mate could possibly be a factor that far away. And i understand that it may be labelled as a spite thread if you hadn't tried to argue for Hancock, but thats something that you have to think about before you make this matchup.
