Hancock vs Steel
Hancock, too strong, fast, and durable. He could probably grab Steel's hammer and beat him over the head with it before Steel even knows what happens.
Fight goes down like this:
1. Fight starts
2. Steel wakes up in hospital with cranial fracture (alternately, with large hammer up his butt)

Probably Steel. Dude's got Feats.
Hancock got hit by a train and it didnt even budge him. He barely even noticed it.
hancock steel dies and everyone in DC forget about him and goes to starbucks to buy coffee while waiting for the superboy prime to show up.

Exactly. What did Hancock do? Stopped a train. Most bricks can do that.

He didnt "just" stop the train. He stopped the train without getting moved (at all) and seemed to barely even register that it happened. In fact the whole thing seemed to bore him.
I have to say. Hancock fights don't really work. The only time we have seen him beaten or challenged was through weakness exploitation. For all we know he could be taken out by a missile and lift 60 tons at most. Or he could be completely invulnerable and 10,000 tons or more level strength.
He stopped the train, the whole train. The whole entire mile-long train that weighed anywhere from 100 to 500 (maybe even more) metric tons. Surely you'd factor in the mass of the train, speed of the train, and force of impact. Though this has been stated in Will's post... it didn't necessarily faze him, nor was he exactly excited about it. Steel hasn't been impressive lately, so my vote is Hancock.@Onemoreposter said:

This is a good point. It's the same as with Dr Manhattan. They could range anywhere from "pretty good" to "godlike" if you go with actual feats or implied feats. The implied powers of Hancock are pretty high-end, same with Dr M. It's hard to fight them because there isnt enough limits seen on film to know who beats them.

Problem is only one who can give Hancock a fight in his universe also weakens him.
This is why characters like Hancock should not be used in debates. We don't have any really accurate gauge on their powers. All we can say is "he stopped a train"...well..I guess that makes him nigh invulnerable...and since he didn't move at all...maybe he has something like the blobs powers. He can fly...but how fast? do we have a speed measure...I think we see him break the sound barrier but for a superhero that really isnt all that impressive. What are the top ends of his speed? Can't tell. What about Strength...what does he actually lift...well..he threw a beached whale...so I guess he's gotta be pretty strong...how strong? Is he Superman Strong? Can't tell. What about skill? Well...he spent most of the movie being a total screw up and didn't really face anything to challenge him at all. So how good is he? Can't Tell.
Hancock is Superman w/out the benefit of going through the mystery systems or whatever Kal El's dad taught him in the crystal fortress.
@matchesmalone21, can you believe this thread? Hancock was very entertaining, but Steel has dealt with substantially more dangerous opponents than this. Can you provide some clarity here? It would be greatly appreciated!
Does hancock even know how to fight? He seemed to just grapple around and flail when fighting another appointment with super strength.
Correct. By contrast, Dr. Irons has proven on multiple occasions to be a very resourceful street fighter. So much so, that he was able to dispatch multiple heavily armored assailants with kitchen utensils & his wits. While wearing a t-shirt and a pair of Levi's.
He would be MUCH stronger, faster, and more durable in his armor and would most likely seriously wound (if not kill) Hancock via his Kinetic Hammer considering the fact that it can change trajectory mid-flight and track/hunt down multiple targets. One guy would prove no challenge for it, considering the fact that Steel and Superman practically share a Rogues Gallery. Superman's villains aren't exactly known to be pokey is all I'm saying.
And having given beings as powerful as the Eradicator the business on several occasions, Hancock would make a good sparing partner, but not good enough to get the "W".
IMO...
