@Illuminatus: Hancock only displayed enhanced speed while flying. Rogue had just regular super-speed.
We don't know how fast Hancock can possibly fly. It's safe to assume that he was frequently drunk/not caring when he was flying, and we know he was able to fly fast enough to push through the Earth's atmosphere and carve a giant heart on the moon.
@Illuminatus: What I was saying was that Rogue could be faster than Hancock with them running.
It's possible, because I don't recall Hancock ever running at a superhuman pace in the film. But it doesn't matter. Hancock would obviously prefer to fly, and Rogue with Carol's powers would as well.
@Illuminatus: There on top of the Daily Bugle. There's no real point to flying at someone who at the most is only a few yards away.
...As long as Hancock stays within the boundaries of the battlefield, he can fly at her in a straight line and blitz her before she can even think that attempting to absorb his powers would be a decent idea.
@venomyak: But that's not the point. If anything, Hancock is a pseudo-god, and the movie was very clear that only one like him can weaken him and actually cause him serious harm.
@Illuminatus: She doesn't need to drain him that far just enough to copy his powers.
And then what? I don't think that she would actually become one of the beings Hancock is, so her punches would theoretically do nothing to him.
if rogue copied hancocks power wouldn't he become mortal? and with rouge retaining her mutant powers she could drain him until human enough to die... I guess the question is can she copy his powers before he killls her... I doubt it he is too fast
