When OP said Hammer Bros. I was thinking of this:

New 52 Superman is physically superior to Pre-52 Superman, while Pre-52 Superman is more durable than New 52 Superman.

Either way speed is going to be a problem for the hammer bros, if they can get pass that, they win.

I came in here expecting the Mario enemies.......

Yeah I'm afraid the "speed kills" argument comes into play big time here. Fortunately for the Hammer Bros, New 52 Superman is all around inferior to Pre New 52 Superman outside of physical strength. And he prefers to brawl than to fight tactically. However, Pre New 52 Superman is more than fast enough, strong enough and versatile enough to make up the difference. Once again, The Hammer Bros have no counter to the insane speed and reaction advantage the Supermen have. So whoever Pre New 52 Superman chooses to fight, they're going down. New 52 Superman is powerful enough to keep the other one busy in that time allowing for a more than likely victory for the Supermen here.
