New guy here, was just reading some freddy kruger battles you guys got here. Most people emphasized on fear being his key to power and winning these battles and I used the search tool to try to find this battle but couldn't.
So if fear is the key, How can freddy beat a green lantern one who must be afraid of nothing. I'm gonna set up a few rounds here.
Going to set up a little story for it.
Freddy is going around peoples dreams and walks into a kids dream. In this dream he sees the kid dreaming of him becoming a green lantern. Freddy then exits the dream and goes to do his research on these mysterious green lanterns ones with no fear. He goes dream hopping until he comes across Hal Jordan/Green Lantern dream and so it begins.
Round 1: Hal vs Freddy real world.
Round 2: Hal vs Freddy dream world.
Now if Hal in this battle is to OP
Round 3: Any green lantern vs freddy real world
Round 4: Any green lanter vs freddy dream world
And last Round 5: I believe its the yellow ring that has to do with fear so a yellow ring lantern vs freddy vs real world
Round 6: Same as above but in the dream world.
I'm really curious to see what you have to say. Don't just say "HAL/FREDDY STOMP" Debate, give you're reasons why.
@Cha0tic: Freddy won`t be able to exploit a fear for Hal meaning he can`t depower him and Hal could BFR Freddy to the real world like the teens have done in the movies. Freddy is powerless within the real world and won`t be able to do a thing to Hal who can make constructs and crush Freddy. But it will still be an interesting fight for Hal though.

As I recall in the movie I don't know if it occurred in the Comics Hal fear was his fathers death. Could Freddy somehow use that? Or did hal lose that fear once he became a lantern?
Freddy loses all rounds. Anyone can beat him if they're smart and actually take advantage of Lucid Dreaming.
As for the fear thing; it's not that Green Lanterns don't feel fear, in fact the yellow impurity is about fear. Rather it's that to defeat the yellow impurity you have to be able to overcome fear.
As for the Yellow Lanterns, they instill fear in others and they grow more powerful based on fear; so Freddy trying to make them afraid would be useless.
Finally Freddy relies on people being afraid of him; if you're not afraid of him he's powerless. (That was the point of Freddy vs Jason, he needed Jason to slaughter people on Elm St. so they'd read up on Freddy and start to fear him again).

It's more of that they have to fear, and then they have to face those fears and overcome them. Like a person afraid of heights getting in an airplane, or someone afraid of spiders petting some.
At one point the thinking was that Green Lanterns should be fearless; but when parallax got stuck in the Lantern Battery they discovered that being fearless wasn't enough to overcome the yellow impurity; the only way to overcome it was to feel fear then overcome the fear.
So it's not that they're fearless; it's more that they can manage their fear and overcome it to keep going.

Anyways thats what i'm saying you post high feats for a character and only low feats for Freddy and ignore all his high feats. It's ok to dislike Freddy cause I know not everyone will like him, but still try to be reasonable about some things. How did I insult you? I don't recall name calling besides calling you a troll, but it wasnt just you other people jumped on me and got on me about a bunch of nothing last night.
Hal's a unique Green Lantern. Unlike most (chosen for their great willpower), Hal was chosen for his ability to overcome fear. This, I think, will play most heavily in his favour, and may even win him this match.

What do you mean how you were dealt with? Were you givin a warning by a Mod or something? If so then you did something wrong cause the Mods wont just take my side for it, they have to see if your doing something wrong and Believe it or not, I got banned for a day and thats why I was on that other account.

I did do some wrongs cause I got angry at alot of points of other peoples insults and so on. If they didn't touch you or even speak to you, then you shouldnt talk like your the one who got in trouble and not me.
