After tinkering with the ring for 20 minutes Batman realizes that Hal constantly making giant boxing gloves and plungers with the ring stems from Hal's extremely limited capacity for abstract thought rather than a limitation of the ring. By hour 1 Batman is making purely conceptual constructs with no basis in corporeal objects found on Earth. By hour 2 Batman is ready to rock Hal.
