Hal Jordan vs Avengers

Thor solo's but barely. With Ironman in hulk-buster this becomes a definite win. The other 4 are not very important.

@warcorpse: You can't really Say every single character in Dc is over-powered. What constitutes as over-powered is a matter of perspective.
Hulkbuster IM (assuming he has a standard armor underneath) and Thor put a fight while Hal murders the others, then he focuses on them and murders them.
Hal Jordan, suspended mid-air by the power of will itself, surveys the scene as the ring feeds him intel on his enemies.
He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath . . . and exhales.
His eyes open. As automated constructs advance on five of the six before him, his gaze locks upon his true opponent. The one wreathed in lightning, and steeped in divine energies . . .
And thus the battle begins.
seeing the first replies of this thread is hal really that powerful? i mean i know this is basically thor v hal but c'mon people here are saying like hal is a teambuster or so
Hal kills Thor in less than a minute. The shockwaves oneshot the rest of the Avengers.
Bloodlusted Hal Jordan is no joke
It comes down to Thor & Iron-Man vs Hal. Iron-Man isn't gonna contribute alot to this. Kinda torn between Hal and Thor. It could go either way but I'm inclined to give it to Hal for a slim majority. The rest of the Avengers are irrelevant.
I'm not sure what Thor is supposed to be able to do after Ragnarok because I only know the Lee & Kirby (and mythological) version but if their powers are much alike this should almost be a mismatch against the Green Lantern. I don't see what the street level characters are supposed to do unless someone uses his powers to get Wolverine behind Jordan at striking distance but having Iron Man help is almost overkill.
Hal. Other than Thor no one can hurt him or touch him even
True, but GL and Thor are pretty evenly matched, so Hal would have to deal with Thor while also dealing with the others. He might get overwhelmed.

Hal already got one-shot-KO'ed by a guy in a costume that granted him Thor's powers. One throw of "Mjolnir" and both his construct and himself were overwhelmed.

Fair, but Hal has some extremely solid durability feats for his shields and he can definitely dish out enough damage to put Thor down. I don't think that single instance speaks fairly to Hal's capabilities in this fight.

What feats do you have in mind?

Well, in terms of construct strength, the feat where Hal makes a construct large enough to cover nearly the entire planet and it's able to resist the pressure of Superman pulling it with all his strength. However, if I remember correctly, he was straining and he had charged his ring right before performing the feat. Other than that, tanking hits from the likes of Black Adam, Mongul (though he jobs, so I don't know about this one), Cyborg Superman, Superboy-Prime, Parallax Hal, Parallax Barry, and Sinestro. It's been a while so I don't quite remember his condition afterward, but yeah. Adding all this to the fact that he's quite haxy when it comes to powers, I'd say he's versatile enough and durable enough to take Thor out. I'd also state that he's considerably faster.

Did I miss any context or a I accurate with most of the stuff I posted? I don't think I'm overplaying Hal's feats, but they seem on par or above Thor's.

No I legit just never saw your tag. Granted my notifs were bombarded and cleared multiple times so that might be the case lol. I'll construct a response soon, but what speed feats did you have in mind?

Alright, I figured as much XD. I'll get back to you with those speed feats.
Isn't full.powered and bloodlusted Hal pretty much Zero Hour Hal?
Because if that's the case, Hal destroys and the Avengers never stood a chance.
But even if he isn't crazy Parallax Hal, he *should* be able to pull off a W.
Isn't full.powered and bloodlusted Hal pretty much Zero Hour Hal?
Why would he be? Zero Hour Hal is Hal who had absorbed the Central Power Battery, Parallax, and residual energy from COIE. He's a massively amped version.
@karkus: Zero Hour Hal didn't *actually* absorb parallax; he just went crazy after Cyborg Superman vaporized his home. Parallax as a character/animal opposite to Ion had not been created yet. His Zero Hour feats are largely attributable to him; just full power (from the battery), and gone completely berserk (bloodlusted). Those are the conditions of this match.
But like I said, even if we *don't include his Zero Hour self, he can still win. He took down Mongul 1-on-1 during the Return of Superman arc (right after Cyborg Supes vaporized his home), which should put him in a good way against Thor, who is the only real factor from the team.
@rickythanos: It was actually revealed later on that when Hal absorbed the CPB that Parallax merged himself with Jordan, and it was confirmed his presence was a massive amp.
Hal's full power is just that of his ring, while the CPB contains the willpower of the entire corps. It's well beyond just full power and is another massive amp, on top of the residual crisis energy absorbed making it at least three amps when he performed his Zero Hour feats.
Why would Hal defeating Mongul put him above Thor? He's a Superman rogue who repeatedly loses to Clark, even when Clark is drained.
Or even when he has the aid of 5 other Superman rogues.
When you look at Hal's performance against actual Superman level beings, it's not that hot.
- Superman is stated to be more powerful than Hal
- Superman says Hal is almost on his level
- Hal says Superman is on a different level than him
- Hal can not believe his battery is powerful enough to stun Superman and concludes it must be amped
- Random Kryptonian one-shots Hal and John's autoshields yet Supes one-shots him the page after
- Random Kryptonians shatter Hal's constructs
- Superman grapples with Parallax Hal who had absorbed the CPB
- Cyborg Supes tanks a chomp and blasts through Parallax Hal's construct and he rivals Superman
- Zod amped to Superman level badly stomps Hal
- Kyle with Hal's ring fights this same Zod and is also stomped
- Kyle and Hal working together attempt to dissect Half-Power Shazam but fail to do much damage
- Hyperwoman restrains Hal and damages his ring who had the powers of Superman
- Wizard in Supes' body shatters Hal's construct with a thunderclap and this is canon to Post-Crisis
- Captain Comet is much weaker than Supes yet a few issues earlier one-shots Hal and it's canon to Post-Crisis
- Thor tanks a blast from Amazo using Hal's Ring who is a much more powerful ring user than Hal himself but is knocked out by Supes and this is completely canon
- Hal has an extended struggle against a Darkstar while in the same issue Zod overpowers several
- Manhattan tanks attacks from Hal and others but it was a plot point that Supes could kill him
- Superman punches Hal and it gives him a concussion
- Hal has no idea how to get Fire-Eye through the gateway while one page later Supes throws him in it
- Black Adam tanks a blast from Hal and he is less powerful than Superman
- In a divergent timeline, Hal's arm is broken by a Bizarro clone
- In a divergent timeline, Superman tears out Hal's heart
- Alien with Daxamite powers throws a Lantern at Hal hard enough that he's out of the fight for several pages
- MMH overpowers Hal with one hand
- Orion overpowers Hal with one hand
- Tanks a barrage of attacks from a Bloodlusted Hal
- Superman flexes out of Hal's construct
- Superman cracks Hal's construct by shouting
- Superman is unaffected by bites from creatures that chomp through Hal's constructs
Compare Thor's performance against Superman (where Supes barely beat him and said he might be the toughest opponent he ever defeated) or Thor's performances by proxy against Hal (tanking a blast from Amazo using Hal's ring and a costume of Thor that explicitly had the power of the character it was portraying one-shotting Hal), Thor is clearly superior.
Also, Iron Man is anything but a non-factor, seeing how when he and Hal fought in canon, they stalemated.
