I've seen this discussed a few times. I'm leaning to the idea that Surfer should be able to simply drain them of their power.

They mind wipe him

Surfer ftw in both rounds...due to wide array of abilities greater than what the GL's are capable of, not to mention greater physical and mental attributes...

@dondave: Dave seriously listen man I know your on a Mindwipe Lantern thing but SS resisted Moondragon with the MIND STONE and if you didn't know that (which you should have I've only posted it in every surfer battle ever) then you should have asked.

No offense, but why do you always say this in Green Lantern battles? Can you show me them doing this?

SS annihilates them in round 1 and he wins round 2. Honestly this isn't even a close battle.

@New_World_Order: Can you show SS wiping them out. The bottom line is Silver Surfer is versatile and on the Green Lantern's level, but he doesn't possess the same amount of willpower they possess. If Silver Surfer had Great willpower he would be a Green Lantern. Every thing Silver Surfer can do the Green Lanterns can counter and he can counter most of the things they can do. The imagines they can bring to the fight, would be an advantage. SS can't bring imagines to the fight. Siphoning the energy of a Power ring means you have to have some place to put that energy; SS body can't contain one ring let alone two. Plus the power ring can siphon energy as well, so that would be a wash. The advantages go to the Green lantern in a lot of ways:

The Guardians select the most powerful living purest willpower objects, of which Surfer has never been in discussion. That intangible alone tells you Surfer doesn't have the willpower to stay in a fight to the end.

Surfer has dimensional and time manipulation, so do the Green Lanterns and they can counter it.

Surfer has to use the objects around him in a battle, the Green Lanterns can bring anything in the entire universe to the fight.

The willpower is the biggest, but Silver Surfer is mainly reserved for Galactus, against a Green Lantern he would go down. His versatility would grant him 4/10 in a one on one, but against two he would lose badly...Read up on the Green Lanterns before you squawk back, you will be impressed, and no two Green Lantern fight the same, they all have the same power, but the way they employ their arsenal is unique to the wearer...Not the size of the Dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog...

4 years later, I'm still going with Surfer ftw, even though Hal is one of my favorite DC heroes.

Team wins both rounds, Lanterns get underrated and Surfer gets overrated way too much.

Unless Surfer decides to opem up blackholes in their faces, team takes him
