Size isn't everything...Gypsy is bigger than Godzilla too...

The first large lv3 Kaiju looked like it could obliterate the Cloverfield monster.

But Clover doesn't have Atomic Breath lol. I don't see anything Clover can do that will harm Gypsy, while Gypsy can pull it apart limb from limb.

Where is King Kong on the Graph ?

@king_saturn: The far left isn't he? the next dark shaded one from the T-rex

#12 Posted by Dratini1331 (6987 posts) - - Show Bio

@king_saturn: I think it's the original 1940s one on the graph, and he was small enough to effectively climb a skyscraper, Godzilla was the size of a skyscraper. Godzilla should be bigger. For reference:

And Godzilla is the size of one of the Buildings.

Yes, Kong is about 25 feet tall max, Godzilla comes eye to eye with Skyscrapers. (Not counting that crossover where they made them the same size so it wouldn't be unfair)

I'm just saying...your first post said Gypsy wins because it's bigger. You wouldn't make that same argument for Godzilla.

But it's true...Clover would be at most a Category 3 Kaiju and Gypsy was able to handle Category 3, 4, and 5 Kaiju.

The dark shaded one is actually a Rancor, Kong is the white one right next to the T Rex.

interesting

@shawnbaby: Category 5 was already wounded to be fair, but yeah, Gypsy's powered by nuclear reactors and plot, so he's pretty baller.

#18 Posted by The Stegman (23158 posts) - - Show Bio

@shawnbaby: Yeah, that's because Godzilla has a very effective long ranged attack to make up for the size difference, Clover does not. It'll charge right in and size WILL matter in that kind of battle, it'll be torn to shreds.

#19 Edited by Thedarklordpandamonium (4825 posts) - - Show Bio

@king_saturn:

The graph has a key next to it. King Kong is the white on the right of the T-Rex

@the_stegman: Hmm, I guess I'm not so good at recognizing monster silhouettes as I thought...

#21 Posted by King Saturn (223829 posts) - - Show Bio

I wonder how tall the Megazord is to these Monsters and Robots...

#22 Posted by Dratini1331 (6987 posts) - - Show Bio

@king_saturn: Okay, I need to stop googling things you ask for, because I keep getting random stuff, like this:

But yeah, Megazord should be about even with Godzilla or slightly taller, since it's larger than most skyscrapers.

#23 Posted by Djangophile (275 posts) - - Show Bio

Maybe its a perspective thing, but the new Godzilla looks big.

I see the graph... I just did not think it was totally accurate... I never thought King Kong was that much smaller than Godzilla...

A couple of points

1) The original King Kong was made in 1933...not the 40's

2) Kong's size varied throughout the film. The director had envisioned Kong to be between 40 and 50 feet tall. On Skull Island the sets had Kong Scaled to about 18 Feet, and in New York the Sets had Kong Scaled to about 24 feet. By manipulating Camera Angles...the Special Effects Director could play around even more...at some points making Kong appear to be about 60 feet tall. The Kong Bust made for the the Film was built in scale with a 40 foot ape...while the handwas built in scale with a 70 foot ape. The official promotional materials released by the studio list Kong as being a 50 foot ape. It's all very confusing.

@shawnbaby: My bad =( Those are some very interesting points though ^_^

#28 Posted by Shawnbaby (10450 posts) - - Show Bio

I wouldn't take a promotional poster as evidence of size.

#29 Posted by Taijen (33 posts) - - Show Bio

It would seem that size does play a major factor in this bout, and GD showed some impressive feats against those vicious Kajuu in the movie. The Cloverfield monster was just a raging creature with dog-sized parasites biting folks, while it ravished the city. GD takes this one with medium diffculty, the Cloverfield monster would have to be lvl 3 or less in their universe. But bringing up another point, and correct me if I am wrong. It has been a while since I saw the movie, but wasn't the Cloverfield monster stated to be a baby or premature organism.

So if that thing was just a baby, put Gipsy Danger against a full grown Clovefield creature. Hypothecially speaking if I heard right and assume that a more mature creature would be many times a greater threat.

How is the mech bigger then Godzilla? Stats say its only 260 feet...or is that graph showing a smaller Godzilla?

False. He is bigger than Early Showa Godzilla.

90s Hensie Era Godzilla is way biger than Gypsy Danger. Millenniums Godzilla is bigger than Gypsy Danger.

Dont forget it.

He is not. Post above.

@cadencev2: I didn't know that about Godzilla at all, thanks for the facts man.

@cadencev2: I didn't know that about Godzilla at all, thanks for the facts man.

No prob. There is 3 main versions. Showa (1954-1975) Hensie (1984-1989 then 1991-1995) and Millennium (2000-2004)

Millennium also made other 2 other Godzillas which were Final Wars and All Out Monster Attack.

Hensie and Final Wars are my Favorites.

#35 Edited by Shawnbaby (10450 posts) - - Show Bio

@cadencev2: Gypsy is bigger than the one used in the chart. Which is what was being used to compare sizes.

Don't Forget it.

Gypsy is much bigger than Clover, it'll overwhelm the beast.

How do people even make these things?

Maybe its a perspective thing, but the new Godzilla looks big.

Maybe those are just tiny choppers...

But Gipsy should take this. The only impressive feat Clover has is ripping the head off of the statue of liberty and tanking a bunch of bombs dropped on it.

#37 Posted by Thedarklordpandamonium (4825 posts) - - Show Bio

@jwalser3:

JJ Abrams actually said the airstrike at the end killed it lol.

RC helicopters. Sure, I'd buy that for a dollar :)

Cloverfield would be category 1, or 2 at best. Cloverfield's durability is way below even that of the category 1.

Cloverfield evidently felt the pain as the army unleashed massive firepower on it, something even early Kaiju shrug off as they weren't even there.

#41 Posted by Thedarklordpandamonium (4825 posts) - - Show Bio

@cadencev2:

It wasn't THAT bad.

The monster just kind of sucked in comparison to Godzilla.

#42 Posted by OmgOmgWtfWtf (6954 posts) - - Show Bio

@angryhulks:

They had to nuke the first Kaiju in order to kill it. So they are pretty durable.

The film contradicted it by saying that the concentrated firepower from tanks, jets, and artillery killed it.

@angryhulks:

Yeah I noticed that when I was reading the comic lol. Also the guy is supposed to Chinese, but is played by a white guy in the film...

Gipsy Danger easily

#47 Posted by WarlordEternal (2107 posts) - - Show Bio

@wolfrazer: The graph shows the original 1954 Godzilla "Gojira" as stated on the side.

Heisei Godzilla easily dwarfs everything else on that graph.
