Thor should win, but I'm not sure if red ring would be any significant amp.

Thor wins thor=surfer surfer one shot hal in his original green lantern form. Red ring makes this more of a fight but one clean blow and its over

@foreverevil: not all of them and Surfers survived Omega beams and went at it with Parallax Hal in a one shot. Either way it's irrelevant , Thor owns Guy.

Thor wins easily. Thor could just absorb Guy's power from the rings.

How often does Thor do that in-character?

From what I've seen he mostly brawls, and rarely uses the hammer's powers like that.

Basically, here we have two brawlers... so I'd imagine that's how it goes in most cases.

@foreverevil: yes I am aware that 5/11crossover battles including that one are fan voted but the company's consider it cannon despite how much I hate it. Hulk got embarrassed by super man T_T. But I see your argument. Still though Thor wins this is a good fight but again one clean shot ends this (a clean shot meaning a hit from Thor that gets through with out a block.)

yea thats not happening. GL's always have their shields on during battles. theyve fought with superman. if superman isnt one shotting their shields thor damn sure isnt. i dont think i want to make a case for guy but thors not one shotting him thats for sure

I honestly don't think Guy can give Thor a decent battle, Thor overpowers him in almost every way

It's out of character. When does he do that? When has he drained the gamma energy from Hulk in a fight? Thor likes to brawl and throw his hammer around at people. Also, if he tries, how long does it take? While he's trying to drain the shield from one of the rings, Guy can slam him with a blast/construct from the power fo the other one.

A blood-lusted Thor would probably snap Guy's beck by accident, lol.

The hammer can't be stopped by something as weak as Green Lantern.

Thor stomps. Absorbs the energy till the ring's out of juice and oneshot OR slugs and maybe takes 6-7 hits. Guy can't even hurt him. Nor can he BFR a hammer that can open holes in dimensions and will literally travel through dimensions to get back to its master. And even without the hammer, Thor would win in a decent-tough fight.

Unless I am mistaken that is not the way that Lantern rings work.

I believe they do if they're from different corps.

Thats what I was thinking as well, but I dont know.

Both Guy and Thor typically brawls before resorting to any of their more esoteric powers.

The only issue with that, is that Thor (with his Superman+ level strength) will be smashing, relatively easily, through the various shields and constructs that Guy creates.

While Guy will need to break out some of his most powerful attacks, in order to do any kind of damage to Thor.

All in all, it'll be a fairly protracted fight, but in the end, Thor will be victorious.

1st Scan, Wonder Woman punched Hal and his construct broke as a result, you'd notice the bloody lip

2nd Scan, that's not even canon, that from the Injustice God Among Us Prequel Comic for the game

3rd and 4th Scan, that was from five years ago, Hal was probably just coming out of being a rookie then and as such his will wouldn't be as strong as it is now.

Well, Superman can be considered to have more physical strength but on pure hitting power...Thor. Thor has planet busting feats; at the most, Superman has plowed through a moon and got knocked out as a result.

Superman's best striking feat pre 52 is cracking a moon as the side effect of his blows.

LMAO thats new 52 and thats hal. not gardner. only in the new 52 has hals constructs been broken so easily and only in the first justice league issues.. might have only happened to show hals growth as a lantern

@god_spawn explained to me that only a few things have been changed but that for the most part superman and his past has remained the same. I was under the impression that superman got a complete reboot as well like some of you. but that, as was explained to me, is incorrect.
