I gotta give the battle to Guts. He's a monster that kills monsters. He has a very high pain tolerance, to be able to stab his own arm off when it got bitten by an Apostle and not feel any pain, can swing his sword very fast, despite its size and Guts being only a human. With his Berserker armor, he's even more stronger and dangerous. Because he's been killing demons, his sword became magical, making it an effective weapon against demons and can even kill ghosts. There was an instance where he was even able to stab through a head of a gigantic Apostle who was a lightning elemental spirit.
Guts has trouble with fast opponents. Serpico was tooling him until Guts caught his sword because Serpico's sword was basically a toy at the time and couldn't even cut through Gut's hand.
Clare's got this. She's way too fast for him, and if she starts tapping into her yoki he is done. Gut's sh1t speed has always been the thing holding him back when going 1 on 1 against powerful enemies.

It's a pretty cool manga, it's worth checking out if you like sword fighting manga.
It's alright so far, though i'm only on episode 5 so i haven't really gotten too into it. Decent violence, decent characters, cool art style, and cool premise. I say give the first few episodes a shot, you can watch it free on the funimation website.

Clare at the middle of the claymore series was able to fight at supersonic speed when she gets an arm from one of her friends.
By the end of season 1 At her DEMON state, she was able to escalate up to HYPERsonic speed. For those of you that dont know, thats around goku's or vegeta's speed at average (Clare isnt that Overpowered.) Not mention she is able to use wind-cutter. Haha...good luck blocking AND dodging that.
In the end, Guts wont be able to stop her attacks because of her speed and near unstoppable strength.
I mean, if Clare can kill the silver-eyed lion king, Im sure she can take a grandmaster swordsmen.

I do agree with Clare winning, but Goku and Vegeta are actually Massively Hypersonic in terms of speed.

His arm cannon can do quite a bit of damage and his swordplay is not to be underestimated. Clare is fast but guts reaction time will protect him from any kill shots and if necessary the armor can come into play. Once he catches her she's going to lose a limb at least in each encounter. Their blades are fairly equally as durable so there's no need to even factor in blade destruction.

I would not underestimate Clare if I were you. On top of her speed, her quicksword is already landing a ton of hits per second. Or she can go windcutter.
I`m Surprised no one notice that guts is quicker than most humans in sword fight even if his sword is ten times heavier . if he use a regular size would`not he be ten times faster
and imagine how fast he would get if he put on the THE ARMOR .
for reflex referance check volume 2 wich was before the armour,therefore guts can parry,for speed referances throught the entire manga it is stated that guts can move beyond human eye perception therefore he himself would move on par with the quick sword,since he aquaired the armour he was proven to crack even the most strongest material therefore the claymore is broken in the face of ds,the strongest asset of clare is youki sensantion,wich doesnt work here so she is meant to receive each blow guts strikes,so to break down the battle clare has to fight weaponless and senseless she only has her speed created from the half awakened wich she cant use because of the self seal created upon jean's sacrifice,raki a mere human who can't hold a candle to guts pre band of the hawk was able to make an almost fatal blow on priscilla the strongest characther from claymore who cant even be rivaled by many abyssal and above number 1 strong claymores,the miria group wich contains clare,therefore the youki argument is the most pressing matter,there is no measurament therefore precise assumptions cannot be taken but from what was shown,im inclined to say abyssal beings are avarage apostles wich would fall on the count category,and yoma are even bellow that since avarage humans as raki can kill them.
Wait does guts have the Berserk -erm I mean bat man armor; if so Clair gets stomped; without the armor; Gits edges out the victory I've read both Mangas and guts Imo has better feats IE Killing the Sea God
