@jonny_anonymous: I know. Groot and Drax have both taken hits from Thanos. No one on the Starjammers could do that. Gamora is like super ninja altered by Thanos and StarLord even defeated Thanos (with plot device of a cosmic cube) but his gun also shot Adam Warlock in the head. Starlord has gone up against Ronan and Blastaar.

the GoTG actually have powers were the Starjammers are more peak human type people

@boschepg: The only peak human in the Starjammers is Corsair and Drax has only took punches from Thanos when he was powered up also Star lord needs prep to pull off stuff like that and he has none here.

@jonny_anonymous: Starlords helmet is connected to his ship which analyzes battle data. Even so, the strongest person on the Starjammers is Ch'od and that isnt beating anyone on the GoTG.

Starlords forcefields has taken hits by Cardinal Ryker's faith blast of the Universal Church of Truth. It has survived hyperjump. Gamora has survived a dyson sphere (a sun) being exploded on top of her.

Starlord doesnt need prep. His Kree gun evolves to whatever battle scenario he chooses and his Elemental gun controls elements. Starjammers arent winning this IMO

Rocket pulls a strategy outta his *** and wins!(Kinda has been known to do that) :P No but really, the Stars are gonna be hard pressed to put down Groot if they even can at all, given the location. Among other things..

@wolfrazer: Damn, I didn't even think about Groot and the forest. Ok I'll just say Groot cant control the vegetation because otherwise it would be a stomp.

The Jammers are also kitted out with the most advanced Shi'ar tech and training not to mention the Starjammer itself is an advanced prototype. Korvus would make kindling out of Groot with the Phoenix Blade and Ch'od is durable enough to hang with Drax.

Yeah the star jammers have no one that can take down the GotG and if everyone else does get taken down who's going to beat groot

Off-Topic Question: So with those lineups above, would that mean that both Cosmo (GotG) and Sikorsky (Starjammers) both be the designated non-combative support roles for their respective teams?

On-Topic Answer: As for the fight, I'd say it would be a pretty even match. Groot and Ch'od would be equal in strength, each side has either the Phoenix Blade or the Elemental Gun. I'd say that the Starjammers' ship is probably more powerful since it is Shi'ar tech after all.

star jammers have dealt with wars between the kree and sh'ar they wont be stupid enough to engage in a fire fight they are thiefs they know how to use sleath to secretely board a ship

Enchantress takes away the Groot problem without enchantresses then its a win for the GOTG
