Guardian emits massive amounts of energy.Seems to me he would just be a power source for Vulcan.Also,Pointer is unstable like Sentry.U.S Agent was hanging with him.

I know, I just don't like how they've pumped up Vulcan like he can do anything to anyone being a high end energy manipulater. I think he lacks skill and finess and is no less an emo boy than SBP, and just cause he can manipulate massive/all sorts of energy, doesn't make him invulnerable, just need to know where to go/look for the weak spots ;-)

If I recall correctly, didn't Vulcan blast him from behind, without Adam being aware he was even there or being confronted?

That's what I recall from memory, but as I said, I haven't read it since I first got it when it came out a few years ago. I was under the assumption Michael was a mutant who absorbed all the Mutant powers after House of M, and it was under his own power? He just lacked control and discipline and was very unexperienced.

Well he began to control the powers better toward the end of Omega Flight but he's still unstable.He's also still going up against a energy manipulator with no limit to how far he can PUSH it. :)
So far Vulcan has taken complete control of the entire Shi'ar Empire, and is looking to expand. What has Pointer done to date that even comes close to the things Vulcan has been doing consistently since he left Earth (or even before that)? Nothing? That's what I suspected. His most impressive feat is killing Alpha Flight, which he did unintentionally while pushed far beyond his normal limitations/range of power. Vulcan has more experience with his power, and enjoys killing. Pointer would hesitate, or pull his punches, and Vulcan would kill him.

Can't really argue with that! But as you stated, it's more due to difference in attitude and experience in power! Michael lacks it, experience and the will to do damage/kill! If they both were bloodlusted, well, then it's anyones game!
The Collective is just what he was called after absorbing all that energy. The energy was taken away, therefore leaving him without it, therefore weaker.
Where did it say that he can't absorb that much energy again?
Ok.Guardians initial energy output is lower than that of Vulcan and from when he was the Collective,so without any power source..he cannot reach anywhere near Vulcan's level.
