Bill is not winning this. Best he can hope for is a stalemate.
Grundy vs Beta ray bill
@demonknights: How hard does Grundy hit? Beta Ray Bill's durability is off the charts.
@beaconofstrength: Interesting
Its not his strength u have to worry about. Read the thread to avoid me wasting my time. Hit me up wen you're done bro
@demonknights: Yeah, Bill isn't dumb enough to just take the life draining and sit there. If Grundy really can't be put down, it's a stalemate. Or Bill could simply transmute him.
@beaconofstrength: i do wonder if transmuting would work, he is the host for the grey, a supernatural force, either way he would still be the host for the grey and able to do thing like this
or this
beta ray bill can parobably tank his touch for a bit, but eventually it would most likely be overwhelming
even if he did transmute him, i don't know if the grey would allow it, or if it would even stop him if it did
@mrnoital: I just don't picture him beating a powerhouse like Bill. Bill also has a variety of ranged attacks.
@demonknights: I still don't see him beating Bill. Bills variety of AOE attacks, ranged attacks, and energy attacks, will allow him not not get hit. Call it a stalemate if you want, but I don't see him beating Bill. Also, how would Grundy handle being transmuted?
Damn it, I accidentally deleted that last comment when in was trying to edit it for spelling. Anyway, short answer is he'll just k we o coming back as long as the battle is on earth.
@fiodestromus: He was sent to the moon.
He didn't fight fire if I remember correctly. They tried the atom who is powered by nuclear power. Alan scott, flash, brute force, bullets, etc.
He was put down by Alan Scott who BFRd him to the moon.
Got an issue number lol I might as well just read it to get some general consensus on this battle,so I can actually weigh in.
seems like he handles fire alright, not sure how he would handle being transmuted though, he is powered by the supernatural force the grey so we dont know if it would change him back or what
but heres a bit of fire, he somehow redirects himself while falling, not sure how that works, but yeah
@fiodestromus: It was in Earth 2: Issues 3-6 IIRC.
Bill wins. Too fast, too versatile. He should be able to utterly destroy new 52 Grundy. Enough lightning and there's nothing left to regenerate. Or dropping him into the planet's core. That should destroy him. Straight up hammer mauling should be enough to count for a win. If Grundy is literally a puddle trying to regen and keeps getting re-puddlized I'd call that close enough to a ko. Stalemate isn't the worst Grundy would do. it's the best he could hope for. And it's a long far off hope.
@demonknights: Not really, its speculation at this point. Grundy has shown no resistance to it. Once Bill finds that his life force is being drained when Grundy touches him, he'll keep away. Don't see Grundy winning.
My argument isn't that Grundy wins. Simply that it's a stalemate at worst for him. Bill can't win. Transmutation probably wouldn't work since he's not just in one spot per se. His vines are everywhere. They kill instantly if Grundy chooses so. They're.fast enough that they caught Jay garrick. Etc. Transmutation might work, might not since he's power we by the gray. So it is indeed just speculation to say it would or would not work. Beyond that I've already talked about why at worst it's a stalemate for Grundy. He can win and he can stalemate.
firstly im confused people say this new 52 grundy then they say this is earth 2 grundy so whats going on here? secondly from what I can understand this grundy is indeed incredibly powerful( how does he fair against new 52 heavy hitters like superman?) but the ability to decay doesn't seem like it woul keep bill down, in marvel the villian blackout has the same ablilty( though not via roots) and is can be big trouble for a lot of people....but he's still low tear. bill has faced someone with the power cosmic which in my opinion far outclasses any rotting/life-draining ability and it seems as if grundy hasn't faced an enemy like him (do grundy supporters believe he could beat new 52 captain marvel?)
BRB
Way too powerful.
@mrvalance: this is new 52, and in the new 52 he's only been on earth 2, in the comic line earth 2
I'm pretty behind on my reading and i havent read all the first justice leagues so i'm not sure of their limits,
but he fights their green lantern alright, but he's the host of the green, and is connected to the earth and draws his power from it i think,
so not sure how he'd do against other lanterns, but he only faced scott when he was just starting as green lantern, so he was inexperienced
but they could only really beat him via bfr which is off
how is blackout usually beaten?
