I'm only going by what I read of Grendel Prime... which is not a lot...

but would a cryo-pellet work on it?

Alright, found 2 wikis which are slightly vague on Grendel Prime, but from the power set I am reading, it seems that he is nearly invulnerable when fully charged, with superstrength (not sure of the level), and various gadgets/tech stuff. Based on the little I have read, I am not seeing anything that is out of Peter's league here.

It looks like if his charge is being drained, he becomes easier to hurt and damage. So if Peter's 10 ton strength isn't enough to hurt GP, as far as I can tell, Peter still has the speed advantage and the all important spider sense. With webbing and cryo pellets, I am sure Peter can manage to cause him to drain his charge. Pete can just keep incapacitating him, and GP of course could solar flare out, but that would drain him.

Until I learn more or hear a convincing argument for GP, I'll take Spidey for the majority.

Eh. i have all his feats, and honestly? He isn't terribly fast.

Like, IIRC, his best speed feat was against batman.

Depending on tactics, Spidey can win. If he tries to fight toe to toe I think he might lose. If he keeps his distance I think he can play keep away long enough to eke out a win.

I need to pick up Warchild in trade again. It's been a long time.

I would lean towards Spidey winning. His webbing won't work because Prime can use the flare to get out of that. But Spidey is faster and stronger by a fair amount, in my opinion. Strong enough to damage Prime--although he would be cautious about doing so, since Pete is not normally going to go for ripping parts out of anyone. And fast enough to dodge Prime's blows. On the other hand, if Prime lands a hit with his laser sword it's all over for Peter.

Peter did also have some EMP or magnetic style webbing as part of his basic kit, so I think those would be useful and may in fact turn him off before he can use the flare.

I think Pete takes the solid majority, but not in a stomp.
