Even if Superman won't be able to take the ring from Hal, I still think he could win.

It would if Superman rips GL's finger/hand/arm off instead of just trying to take the ring off.

Ya, I get it, if GL gets a shield up it's gonna be hard for supe's to beat him... but is anything a GL gonna be able to throw at him really gonna kill him or finish him off? possibly... but the real question... is how long can superman hold out, and how long will the charge in a GL's ring last against the likes of superman...

Evil Supergirl was able to take John Stewart's ring from him this fast. I'm pretty sure that Superman could move fast enough to take the ring from GL and then beat him. But unless he does that, I don't see any way Superman could win.
