Green Lantern MEGACURBSTOMP

this is quite a mismatch, mate.

Hal would literally have to be brain dead and trying to lose this fight. He can defeat Torch in one go. All he has to do is contain him in a forcebubble until Johnny burns himself out.

Human Torch. A bloodlusted Human torch is gonna go Supernova and try to incinerate Hal, while morals on Hal is just going to try to contain Johnny with a bubble, which would lead to his downfall.

I dunno...Supernova johnny can't go supernova instantly..or can he? Hal could just chuck him into space.

@Loadofmilark

Hello friend.

Welcome to ComicVine. ^-^

The battle you have created before us is a spite and a mismatch (meaning the battle is very one sided, in this case, Green Lantern stomps the Human Torch). If you are to create a another battle here please speak with any of our moderators, read the Battles forum rules and/or even speak with me. ^-^

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy your time here.

@Vouile: is it that bad a mismatch :/ I know a bit about green lantern but I thought the human torch was a lot more powerful than he actually is upon further checking, sorry bout that man

#9 Edited by Vouile (678 posts) - 5 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@loadofmilark: Well yes, Green Lantern has energy based attacks as hot as the Sun. And pretty much all he has to do is trap the Human Torch in one of his constructs, and Johnny would either burn himself up or be stuck there (because he doesn't have the strength to break any of the constructs).

And don't worry about it^-^, you are much better than I was when I first started on the Vine. Once you started posting a lot, you'll acquire a lot of knowledge and you'll become more professional!

EDIT: I meant to say all* not ass, SORRY!

All I was telling him was to simply speak with me if he had any questions.

Sorry for asking such a question, but must there be such an authorization for simply being kind?

Your post read like it was coming from a CV employee. And you'll notice that not everyone is calling it for GL on this one.

@Vouile:About breaking the constructs....Couldn't he do this. If the bubble construct has air in it?

Hey, the world has d̶u̶m̶b̶ misinformed people.

But its pretty obvious that GL stomps here.

Like said, I felt it was obvious (in my opinion) that Green Lantern would win this battle.

Obvious if you're a GL fan. I'd agree Torch plays the underdog in this fight. But to call it a mismatch? Nah...it's not.

#21 Posted by Vouile (678 posts) - 5 months, 27 days ago - Show Bio

@jwalser3:

True, that could happen. What if the bubble didn't have air in it, what if the construct was extremely hard to break, what if the battle takes place in space.

I would say that IS a possibility but Green Lantern still takes a very large majority in this battle.

@Vouile:The battle is in Gotham. Not going to lie if the construct as no air it'd be over. But would Hal really just go off and do that?

Also a blood lust Johnny would be dangerous to fight.

What is some of New52 Hal's speed/reaction feats(I've only read Justice League with him in it) because Johnny is pretty fast (He flew right next to Quick Silver)

Obviously you dont know me very well, and that I dont care for Hal as a character.

GL won't even see HT going for the supernova attack. That being said, any other rules and GL got this.

True, he will die if the construct has air.

As for Hal's speed features, I don't have any at the moment, but he's capable of travelling at light speeds which is out of Johnny's league. Quicksilver travels at the speed of sound...

I mean...doesn't Johnny still have the Cosmic Control Rod, which is on him at all times. Can't he just use that to destroy the constructs pretty easily?
