- In character, who wins and why?

Huge mismatch.

You'd think someone of your post count wouldn't make such a big mismatch..

That's a total mismatch. Hal would basicly rapestomp CapCold. CC doesn't stand a chance

In character? I think if they started off at a decent distance it could be okay.

@iragexcudder Hal can negate Snart's Cold Field. He has no chance.

What DD said - Cold's gonna get stomped, and hard.

I was pretty sure it's a mismatch, but I've seen many times people saying that Cold could beat most of Justice Leaguers, and I'm not that knowledgable about him, so I thought why not make a battle?

How could Hal go through his cold field?

He has attosecond reaction speed. All the time in the world.

It's absolute zero, are you sure that he can do that?

@bigcimmerian It's only absolute Zero when it's at a set temperature. Increasing the temperature removes the qualities Absolute Zero brings.

A blast as hot as the Sun will do that.

@iragexcudder He's been stalemated by Heatwave and he's doesn't produce anything near the temperature of the Sun.

I didn't know he has blasts as hot as the sun. Do you have any scan or issue number or can you explain the situation in which he used it?

In before the lock. Hal annihilates.

Hal is a special case. Where Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg would fail, Hal's ring should let him bypass the cold field.

Hal should win with a punch to the face.

@iragexcudder He doesn't have to kill him. Just negate the Cold Field and knock him out. Although even in character Hal doesn't really have a problem killing people.

Both of these characters have ways of beating Snart without actually getting near him.

Doubtful.

I doubt too, they can't go through absolute zero, it stops all movement, maybe Clark could use heat vision to increase the temperature.

Also, Heatwave doesn't stalemate Cold. Cold is always holding back when it gets about even between them.

But the record for their fights is 3-0, Snart's favor.

Because nobody would want to buy/read a comic where the fight's over before one side even process the thought that they're in one.

Then writers should make better villains for Wally, ones that will not make fools of readers :P

@bigcimmerian: Well, there was Zoom. But then you get into having a character so absurdly, ridiculously, outrageously, inconceivably fast that his main/only reason for losing was because it was a part of his character to WANT his opponents to win.

Even only strictly regarding what he's consistently proven capable of in character(to the best of his ability), he's fukin insane. And Zoom's like a walking Space Gem, or some sh!t(speed-wise).

Clark can in fact use his heat vision to amp up the temperature. Diana can lasso away his gun as her gear is resistant to molecular manipulation IIRC..

I would expect this from a newcomer.

that makes it worse. he can just trap cold in a green bubble and be done with it.

@xiix: very much agreed. Metaphorically he should absolutely decimate opponents. I feel like he's a character that needs opponents that are walking space/time/milk gems for it to even be at all interesting.

Sure the feats are cool, but when you throw words like femtosecond and attosecond around, it just seems he's a speed thesaurus.
