Guardians: Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Star-Lord, Drax and Gamora

Hal solos. He could literally stand there and block the guardians attacks for hours. he could then just knock them away with any construct. This is a serious mismatch for god sake hal jordan killed the hole gl corp when he went mad and held earth in orbit when he was still a rookie.

@chazz85: @beaconofstrength: is this even with prep? Quill and Rocket are known as tactical geniuses so maybe could come up with something given they've a day of prep with knowledge of his powers?

I don't honestly think they have the feats to stack up with Hal f&cking Jordan.

He's at a whole other level IMO.

hal would be able to win. his stats are leagues above the guardians, so he would be able to take them out. even with full knowledge and prep, the only thing that the guardians would be able to do would be to make some sort of fear/yellow light based weapon, and hal has fought sinestro and won before

On topic, Hal should be able to solo.

Hal would solo current Guardians. DnA era Drax and Groot would give him serious problems, and Rocky's DnA era tech was much better, and his best prep feats were from that time. It's still canon, but the GotG are much weaker under Benids' pen.

Hal solos current GotG. Prep would make it interesting and more difficult, but I don't think it'd change much. Joker can't do anything to them.

But yes, the guardians are looking like the standard fair for Half in this fight....though I guess dropping a spaceship on him could be a interesting distraction....

DnA era Drax and Groot would give him serious problems

DnA's Drax wasn't anymore impressive than he is under Bendis. Groot gets turned to water or just plain oneshotted.

Add Quasar and this becomes much more interesting

I agree totally that Hal does not need him at all, but with all feats he has quite a few good preps

@pierpat: Don't think he's gonna whip up something Rocket couldn't think of, I'm not sure who Joker has prepped against to have him challenge the guardians when eu also have prep. Maybe it's just me but I don't see what he brings here. He's a smart human that's insane with a high pain tolerance... That's really it.

And what does that mean anyway, Batman is just a smart human too........Or tony stark.

And his poisons-gasses have worked on many members of the JL before(in particular one based off poison ivy's stuff)

the guardians including adam warlock, moondragon, cosmo, mantis, major victory, and the rest would absolutely win. Current guardians suck.

to expound, drax has admittedly done decent against gladiator in the Bendis run, but I have not seen Star-Lord or Rocket show the amount of tactical superiority they showed previously under Giffen/DnA. Gamora has become a generic hack and slasher, with mass effect armor (which makes no sense, considering she has a healing factor). Groot lacks any real range based powers to be useful against Hal. Now if we were to add in the older Guardians, then the ocmbined might of Phyla and Adam should be enough to put down Hal, along with a tp barrage frmoo Mantis, Moondragon, Cosmo, and Vance Astro

@dathomiesilversurfer: Rocket hasn't been as good, but he's at least shown some weaponry and strategic ability at least in eyeshot of his DnA self. Star Lord is just...there...is Bendis' run. Gamora is currently a joke. Groot's powerful at like before, but isn't really that versatile.

I wouldn't say current Guardians suck, because I don't really consider a character or teams level of power to effect how good a story they have, but they aren't written as powerfully no.

haha I'm not considering the power levels of the characters when I'm saying the series sucks. I'm saying it because I find it uneventful and bland with cliche banter and dialogue.

Hal solos. Guardians are cool & stuff...but Hal Jordan is on an entirely diffrent lvl. He would win with them while sleeping.

Okay let's be real here, if we're talking about Drax at his prime, it's a far more fair fight. Drax was made to go toe to toe with Thanos. Gamora, with her healing factor, could hold off Joker while the four take town Hal, each coming at him from a different angle.
