Master of Martial Arts in of his greatest challenges yet

So I heard that batman is a master of almost every known martial art on earth (127 or something around that number), then he must be able to grapple with his opponents as well then. This is a standard MA battle between batman and ragdoll but it has a special condition, batman can only use his grappling skill against Ragdoll. Ragdoll is known to be insanely flexible and talented in the form of combat and has used it in the heat of battle during the run of Secret Six and before, but batman is one of the greatest if not the greatest human athlete in DCU (or so I am told)

Rules

The Greatest Detective in the World vs Merkel Jr
The Greatest Detective in the World vs Merkel Jr

  • Strictly Grappling Only (Things like Joint Locks and Blood chokes are okay)
  • No cheap shots allowed (prep will only give him training with a grappler)
  • No greasing, holding the cage, nutshots (ragdoll does not have genitals)
  • No Time Limit
  • To the death
  • They Fight in UFC octagon
  • Who wins?

Why I did the battle?

Curious on batman's skill set actually, they say he is one of DC's premier martial artist but I rarely see grappling feats so please enlighten me.

there are many forms of grappling that will let you, not only grab hold or lock on to your opponents but also hit them. but anyway batman only need to do here is to tie ragdoll to a knot

@eatmore_payless:

That would not hurt Merkel that much actually considering that he can do that to himself at will, however by holding merkel batman will engage directly with merkel.

Personally, I see Batman simply breaking Ragdoll's bones.

Going off what I know of Batman, he should be able to break his bones. The flexibility on Ragdoll is probably insane, so that a factor. But other then that the only real prob in the "Win by Death" stipulation which Bats would not kill, He'll probably just break his bones and call it a day.

Ragdoll should take this. His level of flexibility defies explanation.

Ragdoll but it's not a stomp by any means. I wrestled in high school and walked on in college. Flexibility matters, but not as much as pure size tbh. There's a reason we have weight classes. Bats is likely stronger and absolutely about 5 classes heavier. That's a helluva gap to make up. You get riding time and allow chokes, and Bat's could just brute force win.

That said, flexibility does matter as well. Can't chicken wing someone who's double jointed, and being that flexible can give you insane ability to bring leverage to bear, not to mention totally negating ability to control the hands, which is essential in wrestling.

@typhion: I wrestled in high school too, and practiced BJJ too. Flexibility isn't as important in grappling as they're leading on. Bat's superior strength, durability, and skill will see him through.
