Goro vs Batman

Its not about pain resistance its about durability. Kotal Kahn as a young man when he was skinny and had no muscles was still strong enough to kill men and crush there skulls. Yet Kotal Ketz who was older than when Kotal Kahn did that feat-and using Shao Kahns hammer which seems to have some green energy around it-didn't kill Goro. All it did to Goro was knock out some teeth and draw some blood.

Goro is very durable.

Bane broke Batman's back, Goro breaks him right in half then rag dolls his corpse.

@batbro15: I'm pretty sure it is. I still need to read it too, but Kotal Ketz and Kotal Kahn are new MKX characters, and Goro has decent amounts of involvement in the game.

I'd say Batman would lose the first fight, but win the second fight.

Bane on venom broke an exhausted batmans back.

Goro > Bane overdosing on venom. It's not really fair to compare the two.

And batman was exhausted as I said. I'm not the one who made the original comparison.

@jashro44: If anything Jash, it seems to me that the irrational mindset that Batman had wearing himself down constantly and then forcing himself to the breaking point is further evidence that he isn't tough enough to fight Goro. You're thinking that Goro's stamina isn't as high as Batmans? I wouldn't agree there personally...and furthermore I'd argue that if Batman somehow does survive the first few minutes of the fight, he would become more and more exhausted. Sound like a familiar kind of situation?

I really don't see Batman taking more than 4/10 with Goro. That's being pretty generous honestly but Batman is amazing and can pull off some extraordinary feats on occasion.

What are you talking? All I said is batman doesn't start this fight physically exhausted. I really don't see how fighting Bane at the end of knightfall is at all comparable to fighting Goro considering the context.

I'm saying that the fact that Bane could, in nearly any circumstance, break Batmans back...does not bode well for his fight against someone who is stronger, mystically empowered, and has more skill. Plus the whole two extra arms thing. I'm sorry, I didn't realize I wasn't making my point clear there.

@frisky4: Nope I flat out said it. Hundreds of years of combat experience probably points to that. Is Goro more skilled in math? building robots? Wearing latex? Batman has him in those, no contest.

Batman is too fast and agile for Goro, sure if Goro catches him with an unexpected shot Bruce is in trouble especially if it allows him to grab hold of bruce at that point it's pretty much over, but barring a lucky scenario like that Bruce takes it. Oh and Kotal Kahn would like a word about Goro being the strongest considering he defeated Goro and just did this to King Gorbak who is Goro's father.

Goro can win a random encounter. He's fast and agile. He has fireball thingys. He is definitely stronger and he has some combat skill. Batman would lose in hand to hand. If he plays smart he would win.

@acrokat: Goro has no real speed feats to suggest that, yes he is stronger, Batman will use his gadgets the same way he would against Grundy or Killer Croc or any other number of stronger opponents he regularly faces down.

In a straight up fight, I'd give this to Goro.

With gadgets I'd say Batman.

@devil_driver: Well yeah I know but if Bruce tries to go hand to hand without his gear his chances of losing to Goro increase.

@acrokat: Of course I wouldn't dispute that, but that isn't his style he sizes his opponents up and plays to their weaknesses, a few well placed explosives and Goro is done for, of course there is also the chance that he could get caught off guard by the fact that Goro can throw fireballs as it is a random encounter, so I guess 8/10 for Bruce is what I would say, Bruce's gadgets are really what tip the scale in his favor here or he could go for a nut shot it worked for Johnny :P

Batman has fought stronger and more skilled fighters like Bane, so I don't see why Batman couldn't win.

Batman flips Goro over his head then puts his foot on his neck causing him enough pain to make him submit much like he did to Grundy last issue.

Yeah of course batman would win. "He's the Batman" like every batfan would say, no competition. Even if you pit him against a celestial entity Batman will always win because his fans and writers said so.

Awesome fight! However while Goro is a beast he simply is too slow for Batman and while Batman would struggle hurting Goro with mere punches and kicks, sleeping gas or tranquilizers should do the trick and incap him
