there is a reason why we call it Classic ION... its because later on the ION power was retcon and dumbed down in power in its more Modern Form... Classic ION the power that Kyle Rayner originally wielded is Much Greater in Scale... than the Modern ION power which Sodam Yat had and got beat down by Prime... 

Gokus fighting ability and already versatile abilities couples with ION means trion gets his ass handed to him on a silver plater

Goku can also amp his power quite a bit. 
 
He managed to stay in Super Saiyan 1 form for 8 days during the Cell Saga, which is a 50x amp (although to be fair, he only fought for a few hours). I don't know how long he can last in Level 2, but Level 3 with 400x boost he can't last very long, probably no more than 30 minutes.
 
But 50 times+ of Classic ION power would be pretty insane.

@TheUltimateSurvivor: Classic Ion reset the Universe and Brought back the Green Lanterns.

Hence that makes this battle pretty unfair!
