Because I still do duels with Superman here?

Nobody can win superman, he is the god of this site,

even the presence not would be able to beat him.

I saw another topic with the duel "Godzilla vs. Thor" where many claim that Godzilla could beat "Thor" but they ignored the fact that even thor winning a being much larger, stronger, more powerful and mythic "the serpent of midgard". But .., Superman, no matter, this overcomes any ... less radioactive monkeys and vampires fifth grade ...

do me a favor ..! this is ridiculous.

@korusdestroyus: @_philosoraptor_: @psychobear01: read the previous posts before posting. The "black hole" topic was already debunked, this is how a thread gets saturated.

What Godzilla tanked was a malfunctioning gravity weapon that functioned nothing like a real black hole, so stop comparing it to that. In fact it missed, as well. In reality, a 2 meter black hole would absorb our entire solar system instantly. This thing didn't fully bust a mountain. Stop lol

Godzilla dies. I have all 28 Japanese movies committed to memory, you can test this if you'd like. He can't beat Superman.

@gojira2014: Marvelzilla took a Hulk and a Hercules who couldn't lift 20,000 tons and a Thor who couldn't break a building with all his strength. Clearly they were jobbing.

Its very easy to say they were jobbing, its a lazy argument.

Marvel GZ shrunk to the height of 20 feet took on the entire Fantastic Four with no effort too. Even though heavily de powered in strength and durability with his size.

So your points seem moot.

Godzilla survived the pull of a black hole, twice.

Alright, from another post of mine, but as Ratava states, never happened:

"It's dubious at best. So, first let's throw out: this is not a full on black hole. This is basically a miniature black hole that they are capable of producing and firing that lasts for exceedingly short periods, and tends to leave some sort of spatial distortion behind that can be traveled through, and was in fact what allowed for Megaguirus to come through (the eggs were left by a smaller mega who flew back through the distortion to wherever it came from).

Now, the stability and power of the black hole is highly dependent on the software and equipment that runs it. Their first shot, failed to do anything to GZ, and they admitted it was due to the equipment not being fine tuned and ready to go (they warned them beforehand, and got to basically say I told you so afterwards). So we know that the weapon was not firing fully on all cylinders as it were, which they seemed to know would affect the power and stability of the black hole, and probably do jack squat to GZ (which that is exactly what it did).

So, the second shot? The satellite that was firing the black hole was malfunctioning and falling to the Earth. It wasn't even capable of getting a lock on GZ (they had to lock onto something else that was flying at GZ), and the satellite was coming apart as it entered the atmosphere, and the satellite even exploded right after it was fired...so, obviously the equipment wasn't running at top performance (and we know that can affect the weapons performance). Now, GZ actually blasts the black hole before it gets to him, it explodes before it can hit him, and then you can see an effect similar to the earlier spatial distortion warble as things settle down from the big ball of fire. We cut to our heroine falling into a pool and climbing out, then we finally see a scene of a good chunk of the city destroyed, and we don't see GZ. They assume the black hole took care of him.

Now, we didn't see the black hole actually do anything, we didn't see it hit, it was fired from a weapon that was not in top shape and working properly, GZ was able to cause an explosion by hitting it with his breath, and we know the spatial distortions can be traveled (they showed it happen after the first test of the weapon). I am finding this escaping of a black hole to be exceedingly dubious and near impossible to prove, and I just literally finished watching the movie. These black holes are not like a true blue black hole, and are of dubious power and stability. It also can't be proven that he just didn't go through the distortion to some other place, or wasn't just blasted into the bay, and then swam off to lick his wounds (they weren't that far from the water).

So, the black hole feat...exceedingly fishy and iffy."

Godzilla spends some time floating in space before landing on a new planet. Now he's pissed off, and a new planet's problem.

I had the same thought=)

The black hole did not hit him the first time it was fired. It missed. The Dimension Tide works by locking onto Godzilla's nuclear reactions and the Meganula absorbed some of Godzilla's radiation.

No Caption Provided

Look in the top left corner, it's locking onto his nuclear fission and thermonuclear level reactions. (Btw, thermonuclear level reactions require a minimum of 40 or 100 million degrees or higher heat [http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/nucene/fusion.html#c1] [http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/nucene/bomb.html], when not under the gravity of a sun. It is what happens at the center of a hydrogen bomb for less than a millisecond.)

So what happened is, the Meganula got in the way of the lock on, and it ended up sending the center of the black hole at the Meganula swarm rather than directly at Godzilla, because they had the same nuclear heat reactions as Godzilla. They even state it missed, in the english subbed version.

First time the weapon was used, proof that the weapon missed (Read the subtitles):

No Caption Provided

No Caption Provided

It was stated after the second time, before the end credits, that there were earthquakes happening under Tokyo, and it is suggested that Godzilla may have somehow survived the black hole. It is likely that Godzilla was pushed underground by the black hole projectile (Earthquakes happen in these movies when monsters dig/tunnel underground, example Baragon in GMK) and that he crawled his way out afterwards.

The black hole's gravity effects expanded and contracted during the second time just like it did the first time. Even though it's gravity effects start expanding before it reaches Godzilla (You can see it starting to expand the second the atomic breath made contact with the black hole center), the black hole projectile still kept pushing against Godzilla's beam. If the "black hole" literally exploded due to Godzilla's beam, there wouldn't have been any contracting gravity effects happening after the expansion, since there would have been no black hole projectile existing to cause it. It would have just turned into a big cloud of dust. So therefore, Godzilla didn't destroy the black hole, but still possibly tanked it.

The second time the weapon was used. There were no meganula that got in the way this time:

@gallavant123: Sorry, you are not dragging me back into a thread from a post made 7 months ago=)

That being said, and this will be my only real comment on the issue 7 months down the line, you can't equate what the weapon shot to a true black hole, and unless you can show us GZ tanking the actual attack, which you cannot, then there is no proof of him tanking such a thing.

GZ has never once tanked a black hole. End of story.

and we shouldnt forget that it was impossible for Godzilla to tank a black hole in the first place because there was never a real black hole involved xD

Even ignoring the black hole projectile (which was hinted would potentially be uncontrollable and damage the planet if it was any larger than 2 meters), there's still plenty of things that could put Godzilla or other things in Godzilla related movies at planet level or higher.

Showa era (1950s-1970s):

-In the first episode of Zone Fighter, which is officially canon to Showa era Godzilla, taking place after Godzilla vs Megalon, Garoga aliens spammed missiles at a planet, the first missile that hit on screen obliterated the entire planet and reduced it to dust in one explosion multiple times its size, in less than a second. Zone Fighter had the appearances of Godzilla, Gigan and King Ghidorah. Showa Gigan's final appearance was in this TV series (He was killed off by Zone Fighter)

Loading Video...

-The original version of King Ghidorah (One of the monsters the Garoga later had control) in the Showa era continuity is at least life wiping in his original movie, to possibly planet busting if there are statements during his later appearance in Zone Fighter that put him at that level (The sub version is apparently extremely hard to find and I've only seen part of the first episode of the unsubbed version). This is likely since both Tohokingdom and the Zone Fighter wiki say Ghidorah has destroyed planets in moments.

-In the original Gorath movie by Toho (1962), humans had access to enough nuclear power to move the Earth itself hundreds of thousands of kilometers out of planet Gorath's way. Gorath was later mentioned in Godzilla: Final Wars (2004) (Millenium era)

Heisei era (1980s-1990s):

-Battra was stated capable of destroying an Earth destroying meteor, by the Cosmos. When Battra and Mothra, who were both around the same level of power, attempted to carry Godzilla away from Tokyo after spamming their beams at him, Godzilla killed Battra's Imago form. Battra's larval form previously tanked a physical beating from Godzilla, which opened up a fissure in the ground and caused an eruption, in some versions of the movie, this was stated to have been deep enough to pull Godzilla beneath the Earth's mantle. (1992) Before this movie, in 1991, Godzilla had also nearly killed a version of King Ghidorah (Though this one had a different origin than the Showa version).

01:32:02 A huge meteor will strike the Earth at the end of the 20th century?

01:32:05 l can't believe it!

01:32:07 Battra was supposed to wake up when the time came.

01:32:09 So, will this meteor destroy the Earth?

01:32:13 Yes...

01:32:15 Battra's mission was to protect the Earth...

01:32:17 ...by destroying the meteor when it was in range.

01:32:20 But now, Battra is dead...

The 1992 version of Godzilla who killed Battra and survived Battra+Mothra's beam spam, could not damage Mecha Godzilla's atomic ray absorbent armor with his beams at all, and he was pretty much defeated by Super MechaGodzilla's G-crusher. (1993)

Rodan sacrificed his life force energy and powers to Godzilla, and Godzilla regenerated his destroyed brain, then stood and was so powered up that the heat he was emitting from his body had melted off SMG's outer layer of armor from a distance (which he previously couldn't do jack shit to with repeated blasts of his blue breath), and used his new red spiral ray beam ability, that he gained for the first time from Rodan, to destroy SMG (1993)

-In Godzilla vs Space Godzilla, Space Godzilla was stated to be capable of destroying the Earth. In a manga, the Cosmos state he has destroyed many planets as well, but that's not the main canon.

In Space Godzilla's origin from the movie, the mutated, crystalized G-cells were stated to have absorbed the energy of a supernova and used it to form the rest of his kaiju-sized body, which became Space Godzilla, who uses his crystals to absorb more energy to make himself even stronger. A weakened Space Godzilla (Most of his large crystals were destroyed and he didn't have a way to absorb more energy, at least not on Godzilla's level of power) was later reduced to small particles by Godzilla's spiral ray. Godzilla was able to survive multiple hits of Space Godzilla's solar corona beam and his crystal projectiles. (1994)

No Caption Provided

In Godzilla vs Destoroyah (1995), Godzilla finally reached his limits of power, throughout his years of fighting he absorbed too much energy for his body to handle and went into Meltdown/Burning mode. He should have more energy than pretty much anything else that has appeared in his verse. If his body were to self-destruct under normal conditions, the excess energy left over after his body obliterates (Part of the energy from his self destruction would obviously be used up on destroying his durable hyper regenerative body) would turn into a multi-kilometer sized ball of red nuclear energy and at least destroy the Earth (energy similar to his spiral ray).

At the end of the movie, after Destoroyah dies, Meltdown Godzilla's energy is prevented from destroying the Earth, by both the JSDF's freezing maser beams slowing the self destruction process, and Godzilla Jr. absorbing the nuclear energy from his father's meltdown, which turned him into an adult Godzilla.

In Rebirth of Mothra, Desghidorah absorbed all the energy from multiple planets. As stated by the two Cosmos, the Earth in Godzillaverse is an actual living being/organism that has it's own energy, it's capable of actually reacting to threats and creating giant kaiju such as Battra to fight them off, and it's not just a ball of rock like it is in some verses. Therefore, if Desghidorah absorbed all the energy from a planet, he literally killed the planet itself, took it's life force and didn't just absorb the organisms that were living on it. (1996)

No Caption Provided

When Desghidorah first came to Earth, he was defeated and sealed with a seal that uses universal energy

No Caption Provided

When he was released from the seal, Mothra was killed by Desghidorah, and her son, Mothra Leo, killed Desghidorah, who in base form was weaker than Dagahra

No Caption Provided

Dagahra was defeated by Rainbow Mothra Leo, and Grand King Ghidorah was stronger than Rainbow Mothra Leo

Millenium era (Ignoring the black hole feat):

In Final Wars, Gorath is mentioned, the Xillians say that it is approaching Earth from outside of the solar system. However, unlike in the original Gorath, it is called an asteroid rather than a planet, even during the simulation. The Xillian also stated that they and the humans would have enough firepower to stop the asteroid and some characters believed it (Which means they have planetary level amounts of weaponry? Sort of like how in the original Gorath (1962) the humans had planet moving nuclear power.. yet in Final Wars they haven't killed off Godzilla..)

No Caption Provided

While it is true that it is later found out and shown that the "Gorath" asteroid that was approaching Earth is just an artificial immitation of the original Gorath planet manipulated by Monster X's gravity abilities, it doesn't completely disprove the planet destroying statement. It is an unnatural asteroid of unknown density and weight, durable enough to not get melted instantly by Godzilla's multi thousand kilometer long beam and capable of moving at extremely fast speeds (faster than any real life meteor). If Godzilla hadn't fired at and slowed down the object with the kinetic energy of his beam..

At the end of Final Wars he absorbed Osaki's kaiser energy which was measured to be infinite by the Gotengo. Kaiser Godzilla fodderized a Kaiser version of Ghidorah (Monster X is Kaiser Ghidorah's first form in this movie), and Kaisers are much. much stronger than non-kaisers.

Final Wars also made quite a few references to the Showa era, it brought back a bunch of kaiju that had only previously appeared in the Showa era, and the movie director himself stated he intended Final Wars Godzilla to be stronger than previous versions, so Kaiser Ghidorah, who quickly defeated the normal, non Kaiser FW Godzilla, being much stronger than previous Ghidorah versions is highly likely.

Here is an excerpt from the Bible of Geekdom: "First, we have Godzilla’s lifting strength. Fairly easy actually, he lifts buildings and other monsters much larger than him 24/7. The most well known maximum weight lifted by Godzilla is 100,000 tons in “Godzilla: Final Wars”, when he tossed around the heavy “Keizer Ghidorah” like a rag doll, or when he threw a 30,000 ton spider clear over the horizon with little to no effort. Although it’s not well known, Godzilla has exceeded these standards. He began to bring down the 150,482 ton Super-Mechagodzilla, before he started getting shocked into submission. But the largest weight ever lifted by Godzilla would be over 200,000 tons, in one of the many Godzilla comic book series. He lifted Biollante, the mutant plant monster created by mixing Godzilla’s DNA with a rose’s. Why did I say he lifted over 200,000 tons? Biollante looks much larger than he does in the original movie. Maybe around 2 times the mass! However, when Godzilla was fighting Battra deep beneath the ocean depths in “Godzilla vs. Mothra” their struggle managed to move a tectonic plate. How do we know Godzilla was the one to move the plate? Well, Godzilla won at the end, and Battra is at a Mothra-level, not really that powerful. Considering we have no idea what tectonic plate was shifted, we’ll take the average. An estimate of the mass of an "average" continental lithospheric plate is forty sextillion, seven hundred quintillion kilograms, or 40,700,000,000,000,000 megatons. It should be noted that this can only ever be considered a rough approximation of the order of magnitude of the mass of a lithospheric continental plate as there are so many unknown factors. For example the exact thickness of the lithospheric plates, and the horizontal and vertical variations of density which can't be known exactly and so require the use of assumed or average values. As supporting evidence for Godzilla lifting this much, he did lift 100,000-200,000 tons without struggling. There isn’t really any other evidence, but that’s because Godzilla isn’t known for using his little T-Rex arms to move stuff. He’s known for his signature nuclear breath.

Godzilla’s atomic breath force is a tough one. Considering it’s concentrated force, it could range from being a stick of dynamite to a nuclear bomb. We have to pull all of our sources. Death Battle made the claim that Godzilla’s nuke breath is 328 trillion psi, or 2.2 quintillion newtons per meter. Let’s bring up their calculations as a promising source, they have studied the most about specific fictional characters and applied legit physics. Now, a 1 megaton surface blast (Inside the blast diameter of 1.7 miles) has ONLY 12 psi. This would mean that the atomic breath is a minimum of 2.7 gigatons of concentrated force, only assuming if force lines up with pressure in this way, and if Death Battle’s calculations are correct. Any other evidence? Well, Death Battle’s calculations with newtons per meter transferred into megatons is 2,243,375,662 megatons. That makes the gigaton measurement a whopping maximum of 2,243,376! An insane amount of concentrated force! But Theorist, you may ask, if Godzilla’s nuclear breath is the equivalent of thousands of the most powerful nuke on earth, why doesn’t it take out a massive chunk of continent when fired? Four reasons. One, it’s fiction, nearly unmeasurable in the first place. Two, it’s concentrated force, wholly directed to one thing while still remaining as intense. Three, force is force. It doesn’t need to create an explosion. It may not be as large as a nuclear explosion, but it still has the force. Four, look at the way it tore through Biollante and Space Godzilla! Like, damn! In fact, sometimes Godzilla doesn’t let it stay as concentrated, and as seen in the comics and movies, it creates quite the nuclear explosion, and if it stays concentrated, it goes straight through buildings! As a side note, Godzilla’s nuclear breath travels nearly instantly. How fast does it go? What is it’s velocity? We can use the events of “Final Wars” as an example. 4 seconds AFTER Godzilla’s atomic breath hit the Gorath meteor, the meteor was shown being close to 2000 miles up. This means his atomic breath is over 400 miles per second which is ≈mach 2000! So in conclusion, Godzilla’s atomic breath is a minimum of 2.7 gigatons and travels at Mach 2000!

What’s next is the force of the upgraded version of the classic atomic breath, the spiral ray. Given to Godzilla when Fire Rodan sacrificed his life to give him more energy, this beam has some amazing feats. The regular Spiral Ray only took a few blasts to obliterate a clone of himself, Space Godzilla. Space Godzilla has got some pretty good defense. He was born when Godzilla’s cells entered a black hole and exited from a white hole, and then was hit with the explosions of multiple stars (7 to be precise). Now that’s a tremendous amount of power. The category 1a supernova is 2 x 1028 megatons of TNT. Imagine what the impact of 7 supernovas would be. 1.4 x 1029 megatons of TNT. Is this accurate? Does seem a bit much, doesn’t it? This is what one blast of the red spiral ray would do... If it took one blast to obliterate Spacegodzilla. Not to mention, Spacegodzilla was weakened before was killed. I’m going to have to say that the hole in Spacegodzilla’s neck and the fact that he was missing his “powerful crystal shoulders” weakened him by about half his defense, maybe more. So in that moment, Space Godzilla could only survive 3.5 supernovas, or 1 x 1028 megatons of force. Considering it took 4 beams of the Spiral Ray to obliterate Space Godzilla, that means the Spiral Ray is 1/4 of Spacegodzilla’s remaining defense, or 2.5 x 1027 megatons of force. This is close to the power of a “type 1a” Supernova (2 x 1028 megatons). Would these feats leading up to the estimation that Godzilla’s spiral ray has the force of a supernova prove inaccurate? Well, it did take out a dimension tide black hole (Godzilla vs. Megaguirus), create an explosion in space (Final Wars), lift 100,000 tons out of the atmosphere in a few seconds (Final Wars), completely obliterate the demi-god Ghidorah in one huge blast (GMK), take out a planet buster in a few shots (Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla) and the pure energy evaporated Destroyah as revealed in an extra. I knew Destroyah didn’t just fall to his death! The only opposing evidence that I can think of is that it took six shots to take down Mechagodzilla 2 (And not obliterate it). This could just be because it was a new ability and it was in an early stage. Don’t forget, we didn’t even include the Black Hole durability feat when studying the amount of supernovas Spacegodzilla survived, so the Spiral Ray has to be OVER 2.5 x 1027 megatons of force. It’s true that every force has an equal and opposite reaction, so why doesn’t Godzilla’s head explode from the pure push? Well, Godzilla’s cells were the ones that survived getting bombarded with black holes and exploding stars, so it seems to make sense.

The third Godzilla feat factor is his reaction time. Now, Godzilla has faced some pretty fast opponents. Kamacuras, Mothra, Rodan, Varan, Battra, the male Muto, Zilla, Fire Rodan, Megaguirus and the Meganula. But which one is the fastest? We know Godzilla has a speed limit, considering he couldn’t keep up with Hero Zero flying around his head. But what is that limit? Megaguirus and Battra fly at around Mach 4, due to recent studies and and statements collected in the movies “Godzilla 2000” and “Godzilla vs. Mothra”. But has Godzilla ever truly reacted to these monsters? In “Godzilla 2000” he literally caught Megaguirus stinger in his mouth, despite being dazed, and in another Godzilla manga, he caught Rodan and Battra in midair at the same time. That clears it up, Godzilla can react at speeds such as 1,361.16 m/s.

Finally, we come to the most important Godzilla category. His defense. In “Godzilla: 2014” the United States make this comment: “All those tests in the Pacific? Not tests. We were trying to kill it”. There were a total of 105 atmospheric nuclear tests there, and that’s the equivalent to 210 megatons of TNT. The nuke at the end of the movie was probably the Castle Bravo, 15 megatons, and if Godzilla was in the blast radius, Godzilla survived 225 megatons of force in that one movie, that is the equivalent to half of all nuclear testing as of 1996. However, In “Final Wars” Godzilla tanks a meteorite, point blank, that was said by the “Godzilla: Final Wars” scene selection menu, to have destroyed Tokyo entirely. The fission bomb detonated over Hiroshima had an explosive blast equivalent to 12,500 tons of TNT. A 1 megaton hydrogen bomb, hypothetically detonated on the earth's surface, has about 80 times the blast power of that 1945 explosion. It made 7.4 miles of land into rubble. Tokyo is around 845 sq miles long, and a nuke that could destroy that would be 120 megatons. This is because 1 megaton destroys a 7.4 mile radius, so than 120 megatons must destroy a 845 mile radius. Now this is questionable. The TSAR bomba, and many other bombs, do not fit our calculations. It has an explosive yield of 50 megatons, yet it only destroyed a 5-40 mile radius, when due to our calculations, it should destroy a 350 mile radius. In short, the explosion that destroyed Tokyo is at LEAST 120 megatons, it could be a LOT more. An actual radius calculator for nuclear explosives said to destroy Tokyo, a 1,359 kilometer size, the explosion had to be around 7,000,000 megatons of TNT. Woah. Well, the title to this scene could just mean Godzilla’s fight with Monster X destroyed tokyo entirely... even though they didn’t move from their positions at all. Also, studies show that at the heart of a nuclear explosion, nothing is recognizable, even though in Final Wars, you can see buildings still standing. Is there any other evidence that Godzilla survived more than a 7,000,000 megaton space blast? Using Google Earth, the meteor can be pixel scaled to have moved about 1200 miles in 1.3 seconds, which is 900 miles per second (Although the meteor lost more kinetic energy because of Godzilla’s nuclear breath), and using that as the speed of the meteor and the mass (The meteor was at MINIMUM 120 meters in diameter, since Monster X is 120 meters tall and he was inside it.) would give at most 429 gigatons (429,000 megatons) of energy for the impact energy of the meteor. So in supposed finale, the explosion Godzilla survived was from 430-7,000 gigatons of TNT. But we still could get a higher number. In “Godzilla vs. Biollante”, the humans designed a shuttle that could reflect Godzilla’s atomic breath back at him with ‘ten thousand times more force’. Luckily, we just calculated the minimum and maximum of the nuclear breath. The minimum of the reflected atomic breath force is 2,700 gigatons while the maximum is 22,433,756,620 gigatons, and just one gigaton would be considered to be a mountain buster. 22,433,756,620,000 megatons is kinda close to enough force to take out earth, being 53 quadrillion megatons. Considering the moon is only 27% the size of earth, then I wouldn’t be surprised if Godzilla could survive some planet busting attacks. This would explain why the machine that repelled Godzilla’s nuclear breath ran out of power so quickly. And it would explain how Godzilla survived an energy attack that wiped out New York, being at least 300,000 megatons. It would also approve of one of the most likely theories on how Godzilla survived the extinction of the dinosaurs. Taking it head-on!

Godzilla’s regeneration speed is nearly impossible to count if using cells per second, or any type of measurement. We can show some good feats though. Godzilla can regenerate from his eyes exploding, to having a large shard of crystal lodged through his leg, to being disintegrated from the inside out due to his own atomic structure and then only to regenerate from his heart being at the bottom of the ocean. After upgrading using Fire Rodan’s energy, he even showed Wolverine-Like regeneration skill. His regeneration may take time, but that time is nearly unmeasurable, and that’s sadly conclusive.

For the sixth category, we figure out Godzilla’s intelligence. We all know Godzilla is pretty damn stupid. He can’t do math, algebra an’ all the smart stuff. But what he can do, is think at such a high intensity that he can predict his opponent’s moves. Another example of Godzilla's intelligence was displayed in Godzilla 2000 when he was facing Orga. When Orga kept regenerating himself in a fast pace, Godzilla decided to go after Orga's core and exploited that weakness thus defeating Orga. In the Showa Era, Godzilla had the intellect similar to a human. He was able to communicate to other monsters and formulate plans. He and other Kaijus even talked. I’m not going to show you the clip because it’s terrifying...However, in the Heisei Era, Godzilla was depicted relying more on animal cunning and instinct. He could though experience emotion. He fought both Mech-G and Destroyah out of rage and mourned the death of Godzilla Jr. Godzilla may not have full-out human capabilities, but he is a strategist.

Godzilla’s ultimate weakness is thought to be the Oxygen Destroyer, a device that rids any nearby living being of it’s oxygen and then deteriorates them on a molecular level. This would explain how it overpowered Godzilla’s regeneration. But ever since the original movie, Godzilla has faced oxygen destroyer-based attacks. Besides making a cameo in “Godzilla vs. Biollante”(-in Colonel Gondo’s office-), the Oxygen Destroyer plays a larger role in “Godzilla vs. Destroyah”. That film also noted that "if it had been used on the ground, it's quite obvious that Tokyo would've become a cemetery." So we know Godzilla can survive the force of the Oxygen Destroyer, considering he’s survived tokyo-destroying attacks before, but can he survive the chemical? The chemical reaction initiated by the weapon (which is the actual part that destroys the oxygen) also powers one of Destoroyah's attacks, a beam of micro-oxygen, in the shape of a double-helix, with the destructive power of the Oxygen Destroyer itself. In other words, Godzilla can survive the Oxygen Destroyer, or has adapted to survive OD-Based attacks. Don’t believe me? Legit, considering Godzilla was bleeding when he fought Destroyah. In the IDW comic series, Godzilla has survived the Oxygen Destroyer once again. It was a huge plot twist, and Godzilla probably just adapted to it after being hurt and killed by it. Let’s move on. Another weakness is his secondary brain. This weakness was only discovered and exploited in one movie! Honestly! I don’t know why they ever tried that again. Maybe Godzilla adapted so he couldn’t have been pierced by human tech, so then why was he harmed by Kiryu? Maybe the humans just forgot about it? Maybe his regeneration skills just kick in now when he has to heal? I don’t freakin know! The third weakness that remains consistent in all of Godzilla’s movies is trapping him. Whether it’s trapping him in an a giant cobweb, or an iceberg, another dimension, the absolute zero cannon’s freeze rays, or a volcano; that seems to defeat Godzilla for the moment. I say for the moment because IT NEVER PERMANENTLY WORKS. Godzilla always gets out of Baby Mothra’s webs, icebergs melt, the dimension tide wasn’t strong enough, the absolute zero cannon was faulty and he literally swam through a volcano in “Godzilla vs. Biollante”. The only legit weakness Godzilla has is... other monsters. Sure he defeats them a good amount of times, but they defeat him as well. It’s true, demi-god King Ghidorah had to be killed three times (THREE TIMES!) to defeat him, but it still worked. It’s strange how Godzilla is never hurt by man made technology, but when it’s put on a giant mech, look out! It’s capable of defeating, possibly killing Godzilla.

Godzilla’s power in general is an easy one. Godzilla’s pure inner power is revealed in “Godzilla vs. Destroyah” when a scientist makes this claim, that when Godzilla melts down like a nuclear reactor, it will be: “1,000 times greater than all nuclear weapons put together, a burst of power unseen since time began.”. By “A burst of power unseen since time began” they mean the Big Bang. This could be a hyperbole, and considering they stopped the next big bang by “Cooling it down” makes it even less realistic. But this is fiction, and if we didn’t acknowledge statements (Especially from scientists) then we could get nowhere in discovering solid fact. So apparently Godzilla has the power of 12,200,000,000,000,000 Tera-Electron volts. This translates to ≈.3x10^53 megatons of TNT. Holy sh#t that is a lot of energy. Let’s simplify this to 300 sexdecillion. This is the equivalent of 600 quindecillion TSAR bombas. 1.2552e+79 joules of energy to be precise. It takes 159,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 megatons of force to take out our sun (On a sloppy estimate), and that’s 159 sextillion megatons. If Godzilla’s real power was let loose, he could destroy our sun 188,679,250,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times over again. So yeah. Godzilla has the power of a Big Bang. Of course, this is all based on one statement. One extremely well backed up statement from a scientist that has studied Godzilla all of his life. And there are different translations of this statement. The one stated beforehand is a translation from "Crackle", an official, legal site hosting free movies. A very reliable site. And this statement being the whole premise of a Godzilla movie takes out the fact that it could possibly be PiS or Hyperbole. There is another translation, as seen in a youtube version of the movie: “[It would be] similar to the world's nuclear arsenal. With all that energy released in one moment, a worst-case scenario would be that the earth will be engulfed in flames”. There is also a Wikizilla translation; “Yamane suspects that due to his out of control radioactivity, Godzilla will soon explode, taking much of Japan with him.”. However, Wikipedia and Putlocker back up the original translation: “He theorizes that, when Godzilla's temperature reaches 1,200 degrees Celsius, he will explode with a force approximately ‘1,000 times greater than all nuclear weapons put together, a burst of power unseen since time began.’ ". That’s three for the “Big Bang” translation, one for the “All Nuclear Explosives” translation, and one for the “Much of Japan” translation. Majority rules. To all of those people who still claim that this is hyperbole, or just plain plot stupidity, I don’t care. PIS is ridiculous in the first place, and why would a scientist exaggerate? There is no real reason to deny this, all facts do point to Godzilla having the power of the Big Bang. I mean, it could very well be a mistranslation. It’s only one sentence, and translation after translation has been thrown around. In fact, the event that killed the dinosaurs was labeled “1,000 times greater than the world’s nuclear arsenal”, EXACTLY what the Burning Godzilla’s bomb was called. and the event that killed the dinosaurs was NOT the Big Bang. But there is more evidence to the “Big Bang” translation. In “Godzilla: Final Wars” Godzilla becomes part Keizer, and Keizers have been labeled to “Control the Universe”. And let it be known that Space Godzilla is apparently powerful enough to “Make the Universe glow white”; (whatever that means) and Godzilla has defeated Space-G single-handedly. Which brings me to my next category.

Godzilla’s best opponents beaten. Let’s start out with Superheroes. Now, we all know Superheroes, especially Marvel superheroes, are overpowered. In the “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” marvel series, a much weaker version of Godzilla, who gets hurt by sticks of dynamite, fought the Fantastic Four, Shield, Hulk and the Avengers. When the Fantastic Four, Shield and.... some sharks... teamed up against a smaller version of that Godzilla they managed to overpower him. That was not the case when Godzilla increased in size and started rampaging around the city. The Avengers had to get involved, and they couldn’t defeat him. It was a tie game, until the only boy who could communicate with Godzilla told him to leave and never come back. Sort of, “E.T.-esque”. Years later, Godzilla was captured and mutated by Doctor Demonicus, turning him into a more water-based reptile. He could not use his nuclear breath and was controlled by the doctor. He later attacked the Avengers, and was taken out to the sea by Iron Man. Iron Man took off his armor, and Godzilla took it back to Demonicus. He later escaped and returned to the sea. After an unknown amount of time, Godzilla returned to his original form and attacked New York under the control of Mole Man. You see, this version of Godzilla is much weaker than the original, but still managed to tie with the Avengers twice, the Fantastic Four once, Shield, and beat down the Hulk. The Hulk, for christ sakes. These teams consist of planet busters, universe busters, but due to Clairvoyant logic, they were probably all in their Standard forms... even though so was Godzilla. Battra, a demonic similarity to Mothra, is also a planet buster. In “Godzilla vs. Mothra” it was revealed that in 1999, a large asteroid, capable of destroying all life on Earth, would hit the planet. Battra had planned to awaken in 1999 and intercept the asteroid, thereby saving the Earth it was sworn to protect. So if Battra could destroy an asteroid capable of destroyed earth, Battra could destroy earth and Godzilla killed Battra? Well, it was never proven Battra could take out the asteroid, it was just said. In fact, it was just said he could have intercepted the asteroid, by any means necessary. That could mean killing himself with it. But there is a ton of evidence provided backing up that Battra can release that much power. The meteorite he arrived to earth in did serious damage to the planet and he can easily create typhoons and earthquakes. Apparently, he moved a tectonic plate too. One definite opponent Godzilla has fought again and again and won over is the Black Hole Cannon. Sure, it’s not a legit monster or anything, but it is a planet buster and it was defeated by Godzilla over and over again. In “Godzilla vs. Megaguirus”, Godzilla is shot at with two dimension tide mini black holes, that was stated to do intense damage to earth if it was greater than two meters. While this is considered these “black hole” to be nothing more than a translation error, we return once again to the comics, in which it is PROVEN Godzilla survived the suction of a black hole. In the Dark Horse comic series, which is written originally in English, shows that the humans created a new black hole cannon, and that they didn’t have Mini-Black Hole cannons for the last 50 years, evidence that this is not the exact same device used in “Godzilla vs. Megaguirus”. The black hole shot at Godzilla devoured Gigan and King Ghidorah, but Godzilla and Mechagodzilla narrowly escaped. Also, in another comic, the humans tried to use Black Hole energy to trap and crush Godzilla. Obviously, it didn’t work. Despite these only being miniature black holes, another Godzilla enemy was BORN in one. Space Godzilla. Though his name may be stupid and unoriginal, at least they didn’t call Biollante “Plant Godzilla”. Space Godzilla, as discussed before, can survive the impact of seven supernovae, a black hole and a white hole. He is, by far, one of the most overpowered Godzilla characters, and he was confirmed to be a Planet Buster. Not convinced by all of these mere statements? Spacegodzilla has created an explosion the size of earth, engulf entire continents in crystal and survive in the intense vacuum of space for long periods of time. But the one and only character we know for sure that can destroy entire planets and leave only death in his wake, the one character that was defeated by Godzilla in eight, soon to be nine movies, King Ghidorah. Ghidorah is no doubt Godzilla’s greatest foe, but he’s been beaten over and over again. Initially, King Ghidorah was said to have come from outer space, an ancient evil responsible for destroying civilizations on many planets, including Venus, as well as the planets themselves. Considering Venus is around the same size as earth, we can assume Ghidorah can take out all life on earth. Arriving on Earth in a magnetic meteorite, King Ghidorah devastated much of the Japanese countryside before being repelled by the monstrous trio, Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra. In fact, Ghidorah was the reason most of the dinosaurs went extinct in the first place.

But all these calculations could be bested. There are still many sources we haven’t checked. On October 6, 1997, a tv show ran for a total of 256 three-minute episodes, finishing on September 30, 1998, called “Godzilla Island”. Although this tv series is possibly the crappiest and cheesiest thing I’ve ever seen it’s still considered canon, even though it’s made using Godzilla action figures, and there could be many Godzilla feats hidden inside those episodes, so for whoever actually has access to these DVDs, please notify me in the comment section below. There is also a new japanese Godzilla movie coming out in 2016, Godzilla’s crossover with Zone Fighter and a sequel to the 2014 American Godzilla movie coming out in 2018. Hopefully those will also hold many other feats. Wow, I have no life"

-So in other words, Godzilla can lift 1/8th of Earth's surface, his nuclear breath has the force of the dinosaur extinction event, his spiral ray has the force of a weak supernova, he can react to speeds up to Mach 4, can survive enough power that could take out the moon, can take care of 2 meter long cuts in a matter of seconds, is known as a master strategist, doesn't have any obvious weaknesses, has enough power to take out earth and/or wipe out the universe, and beat the Hulk (Universe Buster), King Ghidorah (planet buster), Space Godzilla (Planet Buster), Human Torch (Planet Buster), Battra (Planet Buster) and tied with the Avengers (Consists of Planet Busters), Thor in a Tug-Of-War (Planet Buster), Fantastic Four (Consists of Planet Busters) and S.H.E.I.L.D (Scientifically Superior Geniuses). But all these feats are not important. Superman's standard levels are VERY low. When not blowing up planets, he's getting hurt by electricity, laser beams, and Batman's explosives. Godzilla's standards are surviving nukes, beating planet busters and wrecking cities. Why? Because Superman is a hero. He has to have weaknesses or else the story is boring. Godzilla comes back every movie, showing he's nearly indestructible. Superman is powerful, but only when he has prep or is angered. I doubt anything a big green lizard will do will piss off Supes.

Lovin' the creativity on you denizens of comicvine. But honestly, I see nothing Gojira can do to more than annoy the man of steel. Sure, we saw him wreck Tokyo's military, and Tokyo itself, but Superman could do the same in a fraction of the time. He has advantages in strength, speed, durability, the list goes on. Superman has taken on big monsters of a higher caliber than 'Zilla. He's going down, unfortunately.

Right, Godzilla who can react to speeds up to mach 4 (Superman's standard speed), is too slow for Superman. Tell me something, why doesn't Godzilla just use his nuclear pulse to wipe Superman away?

@theredeclipse: I'm all for Godzilla winning, but Superman is definitely faster than light, and Hulk is most certainly NOT a universe buster.

superman picks up godzilla and flys him off into space and leaves him there where godzilla can't breathe and dies. Superman is back before comercials are over. This really is about a 30 second fight.

lol Superman wont dare to do that because Godzilla is Chuck Norris's pet , so if superman mess up with his pet Chuck Norris will make him wear his underpants over his head this time lol

"superman picks up godzilla and flys him off into space and leaves him there where godzilla can't breathe and dies. Superman is back before comercials are over. This really is about a 30 second fight."

-Yeah, because Godzilla TOTALLY can't breathe in space as seen in "Godzilla vs. Monster X" and Godzilla TOTALLY can't fly back to earth as seen in "Godzilla vs. Hedorah" and Godzilla TOTALLY can't take on planet busters as seen in Marvel Comics.

@theredeclipse:

Man you entire post is amazing!!! but I only had a question

And it would explain how Godzilla survived an energy attack that wiped out New York, being at least 300,000 megatons.

How you know that Eplosion created by a Clash of Beams between Godzilla, Spacegodzilla and Monster X had 300,000 megatons of force?? how you get that result please help me.

http://stardestroyer.net/Resources/Calculators/NuclearExplosions.html

-

Here's a nuclear blast calculator, it states that 300000 megatons of force could be used to wipe out 463.6 kilometres with the air blast, which is around the size of New York, being 490.20618 kilometers squared. I might be wrong about this, because I haven't really gone into that much, but new feats from the comics have actually arisen. http://www.narutoforums.com/blog.php?b=31012&langid=2

-

Here are the events that take place in "Godzilla goes to Hell", where Godzilla and Spacegodzilla literally nuke earth. Check out the calculations (Not done by me) if you want the exact power. Keep in mind that this isn't a durability feat, because they both die and go to hell, but it is an attacking feat.

@rexorr: @rootingforthebadguy: Did you read the post I just made? Like, honestly. I just made that to prove Godzilla can match Superman

And what did you list for Superman to match godzilla because clearly, Superman outclasses him in strength, speed, durability, and abilities. I wouldn't have to read the post because Superman isn't exactly a living radiation. Since Superman has actually survived a black hole, tanked planet explosions while being weakened, destroyed two moons with ease, shook a planet, lifted brainiac's ship which is much bigger than the earth, pushed warworld into the phantom zone, and even benching the earth without any sunlight.

Anyways, Superman could do the following to Godzilla:

- Fly into Godzilla and make him explode just like what Superman did to two moons (new 52)

- Punch Godzilla into the Sun (The Sun has a much stronger gravity than any of our planets.)

- Rip Godzilla apart.

- Put Godzilla in the phantom zone.

I edited it for you.

Yeah. Superman still wins.

@war_ruin You clearly don't understand how Superman works. You're talking about could, not would. The U.S. COULD start bombing russia, but would they? Superman COULD put Godzilla in the Phantom Zone, but WOULD he? Superman is bested easily when he's at his standard. Godzilla is not. As mentioned before, Godzilla's standard attack is the equivalent of hundreds upon hundreds of megatons of concentrated force. Superman's standard defense and offense isn't nearly enough to combat that. This is a common misconception with Superman. Now I admit, if Superman was at his angriest, at his "prep-est", at his most powerful, he could defeat Godzilla. Hell, he could defeat anyone. But that's not how Superman works. He doesn't just go around putting everyone in the Phantom Zone. He doesn't go around at his most powerful. Lets look at who has beaten Superman vs. who has beaten Godzilla. Superman has been beaten by Wonder Woman, his throat was cut open by her throwable crown-thing. Godzilla has been beaten by Mothra. Who's weaker, Mothra or Wonder Woman? Well, Mothra would literally use wind to her advantage and immediately kill Wonder Woman from fall damage, but I digress. It's just obvious. Superman's standards are completely lower than Godzilla's. It's a matter of Super-Humans vs. Super-Monsters. I'm going to guess what excuse you're going to make next. "Superman was just holding back! He can easily just knock her out with one blow to the head", which is true, but he ALWAYS HOLDS BACK. That's his ENTIRE character! If you take that aspect away from him, then he's not Superman. He's just a character with bad writing. Therefore, Godzilla, who doesn't have any personal boundaries, could wipe Superman out almost immediately. This isn't just a fight of force vs. force. It's animal instinct vs. human intelligence. You're saying that, hypothetically, at his average, Superman can get ultra rekt by Orion's ultra-beams, but he can survive 2,243,375,662 megatons? Okay... Okay... well, one more last thing. Superman's writing is everywhere. There's no real evidence that he could even lift that megaton measurement (that you Superman fanboys are boasting about) again. In other words, I'm calling Superman weak, and I'm sick of fanboys taking bad writing and trying to turn it into feats.

GZ has tanked a black hole in three ways. Two movies, and a comic.

Its a legit black hole as stated in my DVD dialogue.

First one is a near miss, and second one was dead on. Survived both.

Same thing happen in the comcis.

Space Godzilla is stated done the same, as well tank a star.
