What Hal has protecting him is his will harnessed and focused. You would be talking about trying to overwhelm the will of a guy who was specifically chosen because of his willpower

It's possible that Palpatine would be able to read his mind. Though I don't know if he could do more than stalmate Hal Jordans own force of will.

Hal has in the past while being telepathically assaulted, fought back with the ring on a physical level

The fear and anger that Palpatine usually uses for power would come up against a wall of will.

As for Palpatine stretching his mind across twenty billion people did any of those people have any telepathic resistance?

That's a massive assumption, but then again, nobody ever has (or will) achieve the ability to use the Force "entirely" (as in "all" of it).

@Skaddix: Jedi don't teleport when they move, like, you can use the Force to teleport (Fold Space) but sometimes its just speed.

this kinda does deserve a bump because there are cases for Superman and Green Lantern that suggest to me that they could win this fight.

• Resisted Sin Eater's soulfire with his own willpower.

3. Moving Warworld into the phantom Zone with his barehands while flying in space of course.

4. (fourth Scan) Takes on Parallax Sinestro without any amps nor outside help.

Now.. I am aware of the Expanded Universe. Yes, I know Luke has moved a planet with the force but Superman has done the same with his barehands. I know Sidious can make wormholes but Superman has resisted and escaped a black hole already. Current Superman has resisted some mind manipulation and sin eater's power.

Now, Hal should be able to hold his own against Sidious or Luke but with Superman, they can beat them. Also, Hal has telepathy resistance too.
