Giratina vs Anti-Monitor

Giratina arrives in DC Universe with plans of taking the multiverse for himself. He then get's face to face with the Anti-Monitor who tremble's in fear with Giratina insane abilities to control space, time and anti-matter and decides to battle it thinking Giratina holds a weapon greater than the Anti-Life Equation. Who wins?

-Giratinais immune to pokeballs like in the anime (at least as far as i know).

I don't know anything about Giratina but unless he is even remotely a multiverse buster he carn't really do anything to the likes of someone like Anti-Monitor.

Unless this is either the SCW or BN/BD or GL:TAS versions your using and not the COIE version.

He can create universes or destroy them just by playing lol.

Anti-Monitor. Giratina never destroyed a universe nor did it create one. It lives in a dimension parallel to ours and can travel between the two at will. It doesn't control space and time as those are Palkia and Dialaga's domains respectively.

According to BulbaPedia Giratina does have it's power, but never showed to use it:

Giratina is able to travel through and control dimensions besides those of time and space. When in its Origin Forme, it is able to pass through dimensions at will, however, it will turn back to its Altered Forme due to the gravity change from the Reverse World. In a void of nothingness, a single Egg came into being, which then hatches into Arceus, the first Pokémon to be in existence. Arceus creates Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina and gives Dialga and Palkia the abilities to control time and space. Giratina vanishes into another dimension and controls antimatter.

@frocharocha "..besides those of time and space" key phrase there. When it battled Dialga it didn't use any space or time manipulation. Just pulled it into its dimension which it was later shielded from leaving.

Ah yeah, the anime battle is pretty lame. Arceus was almost killed, by a meteor.... Which si a lame feat for the one wh ois considered to be The God Of Pokemon Multiverse.

Yea that was pretty lame. But I understand why they did that. Legendary pokemon have always had a long history of having low durability regardless of their legends. It's what makes catching them in the games more realistic.

Just came back from pokemon ,and according to people, yeah, Giratina is abel to ocntrol boot htime, space and anti-matetr at will. The goal of Team galatic is to capture it so they can create another universe.

According to who? I've seen the movies and played the games and never did it control time or anti matter. I guess technically traveling between dimensions is space manipulation to an extent but still. That may be their goal but that doesn't mean Giratina can create a universe on its own nor has it.

You guys do realize that in the movie he basically reconstructed a destroyed pillar out of his ass right? Thereby saving a town from destruction. Honestly, you don't have to use the game and movie Gigratina only. There is also the infinitely more badass Manga Giratina who took down both Palkia and Dialga.

He manipulated the Antimatter of the Distortion World to trap Palkia and Dialga in constructs. He showed Dimensional manipulation by travelling to and from the distortion world without the use of a wormhole.

He showed strategic planning by incarcerating the Earth's protectors, Dialga and Palkia allowing him to move freely between dimensions. Another example of Dimensional Manipulation: He dove into his shadow and created a shadowy dimensional construct, a spear.

He was shown to move at a speed to easily keep up with a speeding boat (which can travel up to 280 miles per hour) though he he had poor agility.

His Dragon Breath is powerful enough to demolish several islands in the Distortion World.

In his altered form he was unable to overpower. Regigigas. However, in his origin form he was able to overpower Regigigas in a test of strength and single handedly defeated at least seven Legendary Pokemon, including Palka and Dialga once again.

He is highly durable. He has taken a beating from the Pokemon said to move continents and escaped unscathed. He has taken a Draco Meteor at point blank range and re-emereged relatively uninjured.

His stamina seems to be nearly limitless.

Giratina has a unique combat style of a beserker, but can be strangely strategic in his methods. For example, when facing against two gym leaders Giratina was able to redirect their attacks with a Dragon Breath, doubling the damage they sustained.

In his most recent manga appearance a newly created Giratina was able to tank alot of damage from older and more experienced Pokemon. He was even smothered in an avalanche that must weigh several tons before emerging unaffected despite being weak to ice-type attacks.

Further, in the games Giratina nearly destroyed the Pokémon World in his rage in Pokemon Platinum.

It's true that he is not a multiversal threat like Anti monitor and stands no chance against such a being, he is anything but weak and deserves respect.

He has been stated by the developer of Platinum to embody and thus control Antimatter, that should not be questioned.

Giritini keeps balance between space and time (palkia and dialalga) he is an abstract pokemon that is part ghost so he can't die since he is antimatter and the equivalent of space and time. Giritini opens up a portal to the reverse world and anti monitor follows and proceeds to be stomped. Giritini in the reverse world is like darkrai in the dream world.

@kyrees: Respect my dear Watson, on this thread Giratina was getting none of it mostly due to the fact no one on this thread knew of Giratina's capabilities, for example they claimed Giratina could not manipulate dimensions, now they know he can. They said he couldn't manipulate his own dimension but Pocket Manga and the movie showed that he can (when he recreated the pillar). I have no problem with stomps but when I feel a character is being downplayed through sheer ignorance I cannot help but step in. Now that they know, let the stomping continue. Ps, I also said that Giratina could not beat Anti monitor.

Anti Monitor

The Anti-Moniter can destroy everything in the Pokemon universe with extreme ease. One Pokemon is not going to stand the slightest of chance.

as much as i love pokemon, these threads need to stop .

By actual feats, Anti-Monitor stomps. By theory, legends, description, Pokédex text, Giratina wins.

Arceus is the omnipotent creator of the Pokémon universe. He could defeat Anti-Monitor.

@mysticmedivh Wasn't he captured? If your Omnipresent that can't happen.

Captured? No. Technically, you can obtain Arceus using hacking devices such as Action Replay and GameShark which make him obtainable and capturable via game mechanics and code. Otherwise, in the games, you can't just "go" and get an Arceus.

no, in actual feats not game mechanics none of the creation trio cant be caught. Palkia made the effects of a masterball freeze and then he disappeared.
