penace stareis a sort of psychic attack, and it has its limitations. thanos has shown powerful telepathic skills and energy attacks, not to mention his high level technology. he has gone toe to toe with a power gem user and odin, and defeated galactus using his intellect, even before he was upgraded with a power boost and become immune to death.
@kcaz: He never overpowered Galactus in a physic battle, he entered Galactus' mind with the help of moon dragan then they both got themselves mind-raped. @GhostRider2: Aye, I seen it. In that comic Thanos was the avatar of death, empowered by lady death who is kinda in charge of who and what dies in the MU. Thanos could kill the immortal creatures that were immune to death. I'm not certain on this but that should give him the nod to permanently put down GR.

Excuse my last post I messed up...this is wat I meant to say. Telepaths are not immune to penance stare and its not a psychic technique like u claim it to be. Penance stare only have a few limitations to it and telepaths isn't one of them. If u are mentally unstable(for examples....symbiotes, drugs) the penace stare won't work. If u dnt have a soul, if u have more than two eyes, or ur blind then it won't work also. Telepaths are in no way immune to penance stare. GR is immune to physical damage...only supernatural or strong magic can give it discomfort even tho it still cannot kill the rider. Thanos has no way to put him down. Thanos might be able to KO johnny blaze since WWH was able to do it. But in round 2 vs zarathos. Thanos has NO CHANCE of winning

No, that will not incapacitate nor kill the rider. Most projectiles phase right thru ghost rider even energy blasts. And u dnt seem to know much about Ghost Rider. Ghost rider cannot be killed....period. And that blast shown above would have no effect on johnny blaze or zarathos

Immortal creatures isn't the same thing as zarathos. ONLY a weapon forged from heaven can kill a rider. Physical damage, energy blasts, etc jus won't work. Penance will wotk on him if he can use his chains to hold him down for GR to lock eyes with him. I explained the limitations of the penance stare and thanos doesn't meet any of them
Why is everyone ignoring the fact Ghost-Rider cant be injured (let alone killed) by anything that isnt magical in nature,as well as the fact that GR has several means to injure his opponents that arent related to his Penance Stare (Wich will work and theres nothing to suggest otherwise)?
Simply put,Thanos has no means to stop Ghost-Rider,while the inverse is not true (outside of BFR).
Ok,for the sake of argument,lets say it cant affect him.
So?
Ghost-Rider attacks with Hell-Fire (wich has shown to injure WWH and one-shot a being that had 50% of the Devil`s power) until Thanos goes down,the end.
And dont get me started on Zarathos.....

Yes,WWH utterly dominated the Rider in a physical fight (when the Rider initialy wanted to talk and later,drag him out of the city),that proves WWH is stronger than he is.
But you are completely ignoring that Hulk pounding Blaze was utterly useless,as he merely reformed in 2 seconds,completely unharmed with Zarathos unleashed and about to beat the crap out of Hulk (prety much confirmed by Doctor Strange) before realising he wasnt guilty and leaving peacefully.

Exactly....a lot of ppl are ignorant of ghost rider. Jus cuz thanos have more physical strength, they ignore the fact that physical attacks are completely useless against the rider
Everyone is ignoring the fact that Thanos has training in the mystical arts as well and the Power Cosmic.
I do not remember Thanos using the Power Cosmic to anything other than blasts,although physical transmutation could work in theory. (Then again,it would raise the question as to why none of the magic users he fought tried that) I do remember an instance where a witch was transmuting an entire city (people becoming monsters and other sick stuff),but GR appeared to be completely immune to her powers.
Any idea or instances when Thanos used magic offensively? Any idea how it compares to the likes of Dr.Strange? Because GR defeated him without that many problems. Although magic is the best way to handle Ghost-Rider,it is far from being his kryptonite.
