@the_red_viper: Water doesnt hurt Ghost Rider at all, the only thing that Aquaman has that might hurt him would be his magic, given he is not a follower of dark magic its not going to do a lot either, and possibly his sword. (tirdent not sword)

There is very little Aquaman and Mera can do against a bloodlusted Ghost Rider really.

Ghost Ravage Rider wins. There's like nothing Aquaman and Mera can do to him.

GR shown Immunty to Telepaths like Mephisto, Blackheart, and even this kid who TP was so that this kid blinded Xavier to him.

So he should be Immune to TP. He easily broke out of this Powerful Psychic.

Remember, Mera, a hydrokinetic powerhouse, also has the ability to extract water from bodies and relieve them from any oxygen stored within them. Do you think he would be able to do so with Ghost Rider? Here is an example of what I mean:

Why the Aquaman team loses

As it's been said there's literally nothing Arthur and Mera can do to even harm GR

I'm a huge fan of all three characters so I have no problem with this "debate". I just want to see if this was actually a real thing. This battle has been trapped in my mind for as long as I could think of, but somehow I finally had the urge to create a thread to open up this discussion to all you guys in the CV community.

Ghost Rider rather easily.

He doesn't even have to be bloodlusted..Even GR with Blaze in control can take down these two. How about instead of trying to criticize someone for saying Ghost rider you give reasons as to how these two could even hurt GR at all

Anyway yes GR wins but Aquaman's trident should be able to harm him, see notice all i said was harm him not kill. I was wrong with my first post yea not thinking about what GR is really able to do.

Holy magic yeah..however hitting GR with that trident would be like tickling him,since GR's been blown apart by Doctor Strange before and he was packing way more magic then these two

@gambit474: didnt the hulk hit him hard enough to knock GR out? Not sayimg Aquaman has the strength to knock him out bit enough phsyical force stop him for a moment

He knocked blaze controlling the rider out yes..but Zarathos took back control as soon as it happened and GR got back up unharmed. That was before Jason Aaron took over though and amped up GR..physical attacks so far have shown to have little to no effect on him nowadays

Now what if it was Pre-52 Aquaman, you think this could make somewhat of a difference in this battle?

Trust me... If WWH didn't fight Ghost Rider in the War at Manhattan... it was for a good reason... He would have spent the whole story fighting him without any kind of progress... Ghost Rider won't lose to anybody physically... More like with Heaven magic or hellish magic just to harm him. No one can really defeat Ghost Rider but God himself. I hope this comment helps people to understand how unbeatable GR is...

@ghostravage: Yea I believe you that Ghost Rider is definitely a powerhouse that can't just be stopped by anyone and if he could be able to take on WWH head on which he has couple times before, than that means Aquaman and Mera would have to be able to defeat the Hulk first (in a theoretical way).

But are you talking about this encounter right here?

@raw_material: Yes sir. But Hulk is not able to beat GR because his sort of immune to physical damage. Mera and Aquaman can be hurt by physical assaults so it doesn't work like ABC logic here... Hulk can beat Aquaman and Mera, they can beat Hulk if the circumstances permits it but none of them can beat GR given the fact he's "immune" to physical damage...

So is this one a fail or could Aquaman & Mera have a chance in this fight?

Ghost Rider

Mera does possess substantial amount of strength using the water at her advantage as shown in the New 52 series, which seemingly matches the abilities Pre-52 Aquaman acquires. Now as for Aquaman, he's dealt with such powerhouses before such as Superboy, Olympian, Power Ring, Demonic gods, and even all the members of Deep Six (one by one) who are all considered Class 100 in strength level. Both have a tendency to use telepathy to get into the minds of their opponents as well, more so Aquaman who has been able to stop Zum and Despero using it and have been said to be on the same level as Martian Manhunter in this department. Mera also is able to suck out any water stored, and oxygen for that matter, out of her opponents living them dehydrated and grasping for air.

Aquaman and Mera are going to be curbstomped.

IIRC Ghost Rider is flamed up with hellfire. Although I've seen his lights go out before, so this battle could be a good one IMO.

The thing about Ghost Rider battles is it comes down to knowledge and preparation. If Aquaman and Mera have both then they should win.

They visit a church and Arthur gets his trident blessed while Mera steals the churches holy water. GR is in trouble.

Without knowledge there is no way for them to hurt him. Rider is not a character you want pissed at you.
