Just wanted to say the PS is'nt a gaurantee win, I've seen demons not go down to it before... & I bet Etrigan would have good immunity to it...  GBD "

You cannot be certain of it. I've also seen Doctor Strange who is above many common demons not only been affected by it, but the Rider left him thinking he inadvertedly killed him. And that was a (relatively) innocent man. Both Lobo and Jason have many things to feel guilty about. Unless Etrigan has actually demonstrated some short of immunity before, I will still believe the Rider's stare will affect them. It is not as easily resisted as it was in the past, and the Rider's level with Zarathos in charge, or Blaze not resisting the union, is not to be overlooked.

I think Penance stare gives Ghost Rider the victory.  Logan's a bit useless though.

Because I am pretty sure both supersedes PS.

@doom_phd: The PS is an ability not an official decree so I don't know why you would compare the two. Just because he's banned from purgatory doesn't mean he's immune to soul attacks. It just means he's banned from the afterlife..plain and simple.

In all seriousness, there is a really big design flaw in Ghost Rider f "too' many sins" hurts him. Seems kinda counterproductive, don't you think?

@juiceboks: okay Lobo before banning from heaven and hell could only been killed by his own kind which is why he the only one left.

Now when he was banned from heaven and hell so he literally can't die by any means. So again what does burning his soul would accomplish from someone who survive being completely vaporized?

@doom_phd: What does immortality and physical durability have to do with his soul? I never said the PS would kill Lobo. What it would do is incapacitate him as he's stuck feeling the pain of every single being he's killed which would be planets worth at this point.

@comicstooge: Eh, that issue of Thunderbolts was just to make Agent Venom look amazing, before he left. Lets keep in mind that Venom, a being who is weak to fire, beat Ghost Rider, a being made of magical fire. I see some flaw here.

The Thunderbolts needed prep to beat Venom. I'm not too sure if that issue is too reliable.

@comicstooge: The only instance I recall that happening was the Venom one. To me that's PIS considering he's PSed hell lords without suffering any backlash.

It's consistent that Ghost Rider's fire doesn't effect Venom the way normal fire does.

There is no such thing as too many sins, the penance stare would own them.

Penance Stare only works on those that regret their actions, Lobo doesn't regret anything, so it wouldn't work on him.

Ghost Rider, Daniel Way's run I believe, He was fighting the Deacon and it was explained there.

@simon_the_digger: if i remember right, he was protected by Zadkiel.The Penance Stare doesn't work if you don't have a soul or protected.Whether you regret or not it doesn't matter, you get penance stared.

Idk much about lobo besides the fact that he's nigh immortal, and I know nothing on etrigan. But unless either of them have mystical attacks they're both getting knocked out. Ghost rider is immune to physical damage.
