It might have been before he fully knew how to use his powers, (he took some loses before he perfected them) or maybe not Moondragon with both the stones is hellified. I would bet on the first option.

No, this is when Zemo killed him by splitting up his energy / body and sending to various dimensions I think. So Genis had the most experience of his powers possible for this confrontation.
I don't think you mean Moondragon, but Moonstone and she has displayed very high levels of power with the 2 stones, but not greater than the Surfers I think.
Photon and Genis can handle the Surfer. Im not sure why Photon had trouble with King Thor. PIS. Or was Thor also liek Odin and that he was the supreme being of that realm like Mephisto is of his realm?

Probably because Photon never fought King Thor.
Anyway.
Legacy gets destroyed. Early days as Captain Marvel also gets destroyed. Slightly before Captain Marvel volume 4, the Surfer also has the edge. Insane Genis destroys the Surfer with ease. Post-Mad God Genis should also win as he was, presumably at the same level of power. Merged Genis lacks feats but he was probably the most powerful Genis-Vell version ever, therefore he should win, as well. I am unsure about Photon.

Post Mad God, and after Mad God is the same thing.
I have only read bits and pieces from Thunderbolts, so I cannot give an accurate estimation on Photon's power level, and even though he was still very powerful, his powerset was drastically altered. Based on what I have seen, he wasn't at the same level as the Mad God version.

@SlimJ87D:When no version is specified, we go with the most recent one. Since Genis is dead, current means most recent prior to his death. In which case, 90% of the people who support Genis use feats he performed as the Mad God. But I already made a chart on who wins depending on the version of Genis used, anyway.
