Generator Rex vs Lion-O (2011)

So either my fanboyism is riding for Thundercats or I thought this could be an interesting fight.

Location

The city is unpopulated, all vehicles are stationary and the lights are still on.

They start on opposite ends of the street

Rules

Scenario: Lion-O is teleported to Rex' universe in the Big Apple and unfamiliar with this place. Lion-O uses sight beyond sight to gain a quick survey of the city and understanding of it Providence catches wind of the strange creature thinking he is an EVO and they dispatch Rex to get him for a corral,contain and cure.

Morals apply

Lion-O gets his Sword of Omens, claw shield and second katana made of adamantium for some reason.

Rex for the sake of the mission is limiting himself to smack hands, sword and slam cannon but no secondary functions of the weapons.

Standard elimination rules apply.

Going with rex. He has range and is stronger.

He only used it once so far in the 2011 series and I don't think he knew what he was doing when he used it.

He just used it in Friday's episode, he has control over it now.

I see. I still have to watch that episode to be honest. Then this could change things since he can counter rexs range. The adamantium katana is gonna be a problem for rex. In this case I will go with lino because he is also faster as he showed when he fought that swords master (forget his name).

@jashro44: The energy blast wasn't big, it was a small beam he used to collapse a cave entrance, a bigger one might knock Rex around but I don't think it's a game changer yet. I gave him the adamantium sword as a second weapon in case he gets disarmed cause Rex has a big strength and durability edge but Lion-O may not even use it considering he is more adept at using his claw shield and a single blade so far and even with the ady sword it does lack the abilities of the sword of omens so he might even go for sword of omens if it gets knocked out of his hands instead of using the adamantium sword.

@jashro44: I found a clip of the beam if you're interested, it starts at about 3;45

@god_spawn: The beam is powerful enough to blast the rocks that rex usually loads into his cannon. I think it can counter his range. And rex would probably drag it to close quarters and Lion-o may not be as strong but he is faster. He can probably out maneuver rex in close quarters.

The new ThunderCats series seems decent, but I'm not exactly impressed at the moment. Generator Rex is somewhat more promising for me, so my vote is for Rex.

I don't think Rex would bother with the sword if he's not going to do his saw-type thingy.

Not necessarily, he's used his sword plenty of times without resorting to the saw.

Also, I think if Rex did use the sword, his would be massive compared to Lion-O's and Lion-O would be all like "Hell no!"

@Sideslash: Lion-O isn't one to run aside from the 4th episode when it was basically an entire reptilian army+ machines coming after them. Still he's taken on monsters much bigger than him including attacking a large machine in the Berbil's episode. I don't think he's got anything that is gonna make Lion-O crap is pants with the limits I put on Rex.

Rex won...(HE BEAT A GODDAM T-REX! WITH JUST HIS SMACK HANDS)

Lion-O kinda got the sh*t kicked out of him by Mumm-Ra, then beat him in his ancestor's body twice.

Rex got ass kick Van Kliess and still managed to beat him.

Rex almost died by Six's hands. Lion-O got eaten by a Ramlak then killed it.

Agent 6 is the sixth most dangerous person on earth and he and rex together defeated the other five!

Rex smashes Lion-O's skull in because he hates cats.

Lion-O has displayed faster attack speeds than Rex and he displayed better reflex feats against the duelist.

Rex sits far away, shooting Lion-O with Slam Cannon, then when Lion-O gets in close, if he does, Rex is all like "Oh, this a sword fight?" then makes his sword and squishes Lion-O with the flat edge.
