@god_spawn: I don't know. Being able to absorb any matter or energy and utilize it in combat gives Kevin quite a bit of versatility as well.

Not really. Kevin mainly absorbs matter, energy is a last resort for him unless it's something simple like electricity and in an empty construction site that's probably all there is energy wise around. He's got mainly metal beams and stones to absorb and both him and Rex have similar durability, both can take a beating and go flying against dense objects. Both have super strength, Rex might be stronger. Stat wise both are similar it;s that Kevin can make shapes out of his hands doesn't grant any versatility. Rex has range attacks, can fly, has better defense, has better weaponry at his disposal whereas Kevin is a pretty straightforward character.

@god_spawn: Good analysis. I figure he'd put up one hell of a fight either way.

It would interesting, Kevin's one of my fave characters in comic related TV as of late, he's gotten more versatile since alien force and has gained better control of his powers such as sickles, swords, hammers, maces, a spike, and even a putter playing mini golf and he's even shown regenerative properties like 2 weeks ago he got his hand cut off and regrew it when he absorbed a material. I like his growth as a character and is probably better in fighting than Rex but both have a general brawling sense but he just doesn't have answer for Rex's bigger arsenal. If it was just like Smack hands or something, it would be a closer fight.

I prefer Kevin as a character, and as you said he seems to be getting better and better with his powers, but as you point out with the resources available to Kevin at this site, he just doesn't have the versatility of Rex.

Can you imagine if Kevin got his hands on adamantium?

Vibranium would be better, he wouldnt go flying lol. And I've thought about that. Anyways limit Rex's arsenal like just make it smack hands or something, I don't know his complete arsenal off the top of my head but it would be a closer fight if he had basic weaponry.

Off the top of my head all I can think of are smack hands, sword, whip, cycle, flying thingy's.

He doesn't curbstomp at all. He doesn't just force energy out of things like Silver Surfer or something, he has to make contact so really what is absorbing gonna do here? He has a limited amount of supplies here and has a preference for absorbing the properties of matter.

Few things wrong with that. Kevin has no knowledge on Rex, absorbing his nanites is unlikely/. He would have to contain Rex and with his whip being allowed and the girth of the smack hands it's unlikely he could contain him, otherwise Kevin would just be absorbing the material of the nanites as an outer skin. Kevin won't be able to disable them.

true but the real bad ass Kev absorbs the Energy of the omitrix along with its Alien DNA's and He used it like it was like a shirt or something, and the thing is, there is a time limit for what he absorbs

Kevin has is very hesistant in absorbing energy unless it;s something simple since the omnitrix he's absorbed it 3 times and was stuck all 3 times. Since this is older Kevin he isn't doing it like he was a kid and he has omnitrix here to absorb. He's got metal and concrete and that's pretty much it and Rex's nanite constructs but he is gonna absorb something like the metal beams or a stone slab or something first since it's close access and Rex still has range on him.

If he absorbs too much energy Kevin grows insane. He would avoid that all costs after last time it happened.

With Rex restricted, not sure atm. Still leaning towards Rex, Kevin has a better shot though.

Levin, he's skilled enough to overcome the power and range gap. Versatility isn't too shabby either.

Rex wins if this is standard Kevin.

If it was Ultimate Kevin or Omniverse Ultimate Kevin he stomps.

How? I've finished both series, and don't see anything that would put Kevin even on par with, let alone equal to Rex, especially at Rex's best. Kevin can only temporarily use the Omnitrix's powers upon absorption, so with the nannites, it wouldn't serve him as consistently as it does Rex.

Also, unlike Ben, Rex is not a consistent pacifist who always holds back. Rex will not hesitate to fight just as brutally as Kevin does.

Though Ben or Gwen would curbstomp Rex into oblivion (unless we're using end of the series Rex who talks to the metanannites, in which case Ben with the Ultimatrix would still beat him, but after a good fight, not a curbstomp, or Alien X would beat Rex comfortably), Kevin really can't win here. And Rex is just as athletic as Kevin, so he won't have trouble keeping up and landing blows.

Maybe it's not a stomp, but I just don't see how Kevin can take a majority against Rex. Ben or Gwen would kick his ass, but Kevin?
