He recently gained Super strength and some manner of invulnerability (or more like insane toughness, he fell at least 50ft onto stone spikes and broke the spikes and got up unhurt).

dude, Gambit can't even walk on water. How is he going to fight those two?
He's fast, and has more stamina. Plus, he has the 9 Tail Demon Fox inside him. Please - how can one mutant with "purple fire" (LOL) stand up to a giant demon fox.
Oh and just for the people who don't know this, Naruto can manipulate the win chakra, thus enhancing his projectile weapons like ninja stars to go faster and do more damage. Ie. go through a rock or tree. Asuma said that he could have added more wind chakra to go through a huge rock with complete ease for more damage. Naruto can do the same now, after learning the technique from Asuma.
